Ray Ferraro is modelled in the game (contrary to some reports), and Rammer confirmed that they'll place him in the correct spot for each arena, down at ice level.
I hope we can hit him with the puck.

not sure what people expect, when playing a sports game with a zoomed out view its only gonna look so good...especially watching a cell phone video of a tv uploaded to youtube.
The replays, presentation, and hopefully the AI is what will be improved drastically
look at the fans, players on the bench, feels far more alive

I'm not disappointed by that at all. I mean, what's it supposed to look like? As these games advance they're going to look increasingly similar from year to year, even on a new console. This speaks to how life-like they've become if you ask me.
I think it's more the guys playing it... they kept trying the NHL 14 stuff, which wasn't working, so to me... that's promising.
Plus you'd have to think that the settings are turned up to make it easier to play for people, once the gameplay gets tweaked it'll probably be a lot better.
The atmosphere does look a lot more alive which will be a nice touch

Wow, AcGold really going for it eh?
It's only an NHL game people.
Let's settle this on the EA generated ice!

Ty positivity will not be tolerated in this thread.

On this note...I haven't played since '13 and here are the differences I caught:
- Maybe it's the angle, but the puck on the first shot (0:20) seemed to bounce a bit more. Goalies seem to have reduced rebound control compared to the default in other games.
- Lots of puck bobbles. Many of the passes required an extra touch or two to control. If you really turned down puck control in NHL 13 (I had mine always set at either 1 or 0 ticks above the minimum), you'd get a bit of that but it looks like it's in the default setting now..
- The puck also seems to change its motion a lot more and seems overall more dynamic with the environment its in..
- Ludicrous goalie passing at 0:39
Probably is a buy for me if this is indicative of 360 play. After skipping out on 14 the adjustments look pretty good so far. Finally fights can stop being spamming the punch button as fast as you can.

Hard to say because this was on the PS4 so there could be features that don't make it on the 360/PS3, such as new puck physics.
This year besides wanting to see better presentation the only things I want are better collision detection and revamped goalie controls. With the increased computing power it gives them an easier task to improve the collision detection which I believe is one of the main things they focused on this year other than presentation upgrades. I don' think they will address the goalie control issue or being able to customize controls any time soon.
