I think it was completely accidental by MacTavish, but Scrivens seems like the kind of player the Oilers actually need...players proud to be Oilers.

Send Daly that picture and the 1st overall pick is ours.

LOVED Hartley alternating between the fourth line and the Agostino line late.

So just watched the TSN highlights and all Scrivens can talk about is the jersey being tossed?

I see some people think that is sticking up for your teammates but to me that is such a horrible thing to be mad at especially after that performance your team put up. He should have used that emotion to rip his team a new one.

Disagree. He's new to the oilers, but his whole life as an athlete he's been taught to have pride in the jersey he represents. Every athlete SHOULD be pissed to see their jersey thrown down. I'd probably fight a fan who threw a flames jersey down .

Ryan Smyth the only even player. Not surprising since he's the only player on that team with heart.

The Oilers disgrace that jersey every single night. Why should the fans put up with that?

Scrivens is a good guy and a good goalie but using your emotion to get angry at a fan after your team lost 8-1 doesn't seem like a good place to invest your energy or time.

So it took a little water sprinkle for Hall to be benched? What lesson was he trying to teach? It can't be because Hall lost his cool since Eakins lost his temper even more so that wouldn't be a good example.

So why was he benched? If not for the sprinkle of water he wouldn't have been benched. Can't be because of his play.

I'm confused. Is he really that hot headed?

Really not sure what else can be said about Mark Giordano.

Damn glad he's the captain.

So when Scrivens throws the jersey back into the crowd, does it become fair game for everyone? Like could some random person of grabbed it and kept it for himself? Would be interested to know if the person who actually threw the jersey on the ice actually got it back (or all three of them for that matter).

They probably get ravenous over it like they do for the Old Dutch give aways.

I'd hardly call it an investment. It's just an at-the-moment reaction. Fair enough.

Or everyone in the hockey community is well aware of what his family has gone through and they chose to respect their space. They are not TMZ.

I am pretty sure that the first person it touches is stuck with it.
