Saints just signed J Byrd to a six year deal.
Edit: 54M over 6. I had no idea they had that much space. It probably means Brees is restructuring to spread his bonus over more years.

Broncos signed Aqib Talib for six years. The secondary sure improved today. Just need a poop disturber on the front 7 now.

Tough day for the Chiefs. Three offensive lineman signed with other teams, plus losing Tyson Jackson and an all pro return guy in McCluster. I don't think their roster was that good that they can take this many losses at once, and you don't get that many draft picks in the NFL to replace talent.

Apparently they're the frontrunners for Demarcus Ware so...

That seems like way too much money for Talib in my opinion. 26M guaranteed?

Cost of going all in this season. Broncos window to win Super Bowl isn't wide. Got the O, need the D.

Wow huge moves by the Broncos, loving it!
Need a front 7 guy now, maybe an o lineman with Beadles gone.

Nice to see the Bucs (haven't) learned from all those free agency winners of the past who didn't even make the playoffs (Eagles, Dolphins, Bucs themselves, Redskins) by once again signing a bunch of FAs, and apparently they might sign another 3-6 today. When will these dumb, dumb GMs and teams learn, you win with the draft? The Seahawks have dynasty potential because they were built, not bought. And Lovie appears to want many former Bears. Not impressed so far.

They're going to move Franklin to guard.

And replace him with who, Clark? Franklin probably would fit better as a mauling guard but I thought he was great at RT.
Not a huge fan of the Talib signing. An injury prone guy who is already in the program gets the most guaranteed $ of any corner ever? I suppose the market dictates price but that seems high. DRC must have seriously overplayed his hand.
I know nothing about Ward other than what I read so I'm meh on that. Maybe he'll be great after escaping the black hole that is Cleveland. The first day of FA seems to be when many mistakes are made so time will tell but I'm tentative at best regarding these signings

That's what I've heard. Franklin to guard and Clark to RT. Clark played so well in place of Clady last year. I thought they could've moved him and got something really good back.
Not a fan of the Talib signing either. He's not fast and I don't trust him off the field. Would've rather seen them sign Verner who is a frickin' genius to go along with being really good on the corner. DRC was great last year. Not sure what's going on there.
I do like the Ward signing. He's a throwback. Atwater type guy.
Now, for DeMarcus Ware and Marc Mariani....oh...and a replacement for Decker.

Anyone can replace Decker. He should send Manning 10% of every cheque he gets from here on out.

Ware to Denver. 3 years/$30M with $20M guaranteed.
This is a huge move for the Broncos IMO.

Whole lotta of dough spent. Better buy a Super Bowl or two with it.
