The rumor pre-draft was Johnny+6th overall for Seguin. I am happy the Flames passed. Different story if it wasn't year 1 of the rebuild but the flames would have likely fast tracked things if they have up 2 of their best young players for another young player whom is already paid big bucks and is UFA at the end of his deal (even though there was 5 years left)

No where near as bad as some make it out to be. Seguin wasn't an essential piece in Boston, and the Bruins haven't lost a step and managed to get good value for him.

Well, the Flames couldn't exactly offer a package like Dallas did. There was no Loui Eriksson's on the team to send to Boston.
