Wow Canada. Wow.

Sweden gives you a gift by putting both Sedins in the shootout and you still can't take advantage.

So? When it mattered he couldn't score. Hence choking.

Well at least we can't blame Brodie as he wasn't playing.

I didn't really see that much from PK though that game. I almost think Brodie could have done better.

Tough to see them lose to lesser teams in a tournament they should win easily but hard to be really down on their performance this year as well.

With the talent Canada had this year they should have gone all the way. Ah well.

Eh, can't really say I care one way or another. This has been one of the worst international tournaments to watch in recent memory.

Canada will continue to struggle with these as long as they continue to treat it as a second rate tournament. Seemed like most of the game very few players were taking it seriously. I think I saw a total of two minutes of emotional play all tournament from them, just way too much going through the motions. This team had far too much raw talent to finish how they did, just shows that the players heads weren't in it.

Also my already extremely low "care meter" went to non existent when they decided to sit Brodie, he was the only real reason I even bothered to watch.

This is what happens when you put Oiler players on the team.

I'll go as far as to say that the coaching for this team was not just bad, but outright brutal. I won't get into what defenceman should have been playing and what lines they should have been on as I am biased towards Brodie but taking a look at the forwards...

Matt Read getting more ice time than Skinner (can't find official TOI numbers so just going on what I saw). Eberle and Hall receiving as much ice time as they did while doing very little? Duchene carried that line through the whole tournament and since he wasn't on their line today it really showed how bad they had been.

Perhaps I'm alone in this but some really head scratching decisions by the coaching staff.

Losing in a circus act isn't losing. Whether it's NHL or WHC and the team I'm hoping for or not. The NHL playoffs remain the only true hockey played.

I donīt get it why Canada doesnīt send guys who have something to prove instead of these hotshots who treat the tournament as a holiday. Itīs obviously an attitude problem, all you have to do is look at the roster to realize how badly they perform.

Oh well, only good thing about Sweden winning is that Finland doesnīt have to play against Canada. Atleast against the swedes they always have a chance.

That this team made it to the semis considering their play previously in the tournament is amazing.

I'm stunned. Happy (of course), but stunned.

Why do the hot shots on other teams find a way to win?
