I'm in Calgary. Unfortunately I missed it. Was it as good as his scooooooooooooore against Detroit that nearly ruined my ears?

I thought the Flames won the Cup for a second, until I regained my senses.

He was probably just a little on edge after that cannon made him pee his pants.

What a huge nerd.

Haha. I'm just poking fun.

I'm actually starting to get used to Kerr, and do't mind him as much as when he first started.

Kerr is a bit goofy, stresses random syllables, but I'm starting to enjoy his play calling. Not sure if I'll ever truly like it but I'm getting used to it.

Haha maybe it's just bias but when i hear the lineup of the leafs i think to myself 'who are these people' outside of dion, lupul, kessel. Wins or no wins it seems the flames have more recognizable players, who would ultimately beat the leafs.

Out of 8 available wins, they got 3. Unless you explicitly refer to points percentage and not winning percentage, 0.500 is ambiguous. And here's the kicker: 0.500 points percentage is rather meaningless these days. 0.500 winning percentage is roughly what you need to make the playoffs. It's therefore a better convention to refer to winning percentage in the context of "0.500".

Felt good to be a Flames fan tonight. Let's carry that energy with us Saturday. I really feel like this team is going to destroy Vancouver with the way that we've been playing. Can't wait.

I watched on a scrappy internet feed and haven't gone through this thread yet but were two ofc those goals tipped by Giordano? Looked like a bit of a screen but they also appeared to change direction or flutter a bit. Hard to tell on what I was watching.

Anyways, happy with the win. Big challenge on Saturday as the canucks are playing well right now.

Tell that to Dallas and Colorado who had a better winning percentage than the Stanley Cup champions and still didn't make the playoffs last year. Points matter more than wins so your 'convention' is flawed.

That's not what he is saying. Points are obviously more important than wins.

But being at .500 points wise means nothing. You might as well be happy about being .300 or .400. Being .500 points wise is actually less than average, so shouldn't be a benchmark.

Being .500 wins wise actually means something and is a basis of measuring your performance against other teams, as about 50% of teams will be doing better than you and about 50% of teams will be doing worse than you.

Seriously...who the #### cares. They won and have looked good the last few games. #### me, this place can even suck the fun out of winning sometimes.
