Congrats to Real Salt Lake, they're a great squad. Portland just couldn't put away their chances tonight. I'll be rooting for them in the final.

Hopefully the Timbers find someone that is more clinical in the box to be able to finish chances, too much service fell by the wayside this season.

It was a magical run, and I can only hope that it's a sign of things to come with this squad. They performed well above expectations this year.

^ I was pulling for Portland, but Salt Lake are definitely a good team this year. I'm still amazed/disappointed at the lack of TV coverage for that series. And having a two-week gap over the international break sort of dampened the build-up as well.

The Kansas-Houston match on Saturday was a real cracker. And because it was on TV, and even though I didn't have a preference for either team, I tuned in and watched it and came away satisfied. But I digress.

Last night's match was on ESPN down here in the States. I'm surprised that it wasn't on in Canada somewhere.

MLS released the 2014 schedule today. Thankfully, it has a 2 week break for the early stages of the World Cup. Most of the MLS players will likely be back to their clubs after the group stages.

The All Star Game is in Portland next year, and the rumored opponent is Bayern Munich. If that's the case, it'll be a tough ticket.

Toronto FC just signed Jermain Defoe to a 4 year deal.

Waking the Red is still claiming Gilardino is all but signed for them too, that is an impressive striking partnership if true.

Remember when Forlan was announced? Or Tal Ben Haim? I don't believe a thing until TFC says it's done. That's when I get my hopes up. When I see the player at a press conference in Toronto, that's when I believe it's done.

Its been a while since this was bumped.

This is why:

Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar has agreed to terms on a deal that would send him from Queens Park Rangers on loan to Toronto FC, his advisers in Brazil confirmed.

QPR were looking to offload Cesar's reported £90,000 a week from their wage bill.

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari told the media last September that Julio Cesar was the only player with a guaranteed roster spot on the Selecao
