No, you can get the At Bat app for free with you subscription.

How do I do that? - they don't make it obvious.

For me I just went to the App Store, downloaded At Bat, and then logged in using my MLB TV username and password.

I don't think there was anything else to it. But I'll check the app and see if there is anything else.

But then you are paying for At Bat?

As I recall, you go to the App Store and the MLB At Bat should be free or at least you should be able to install it at no charge. I didn't have any issue and then yes put in username and password and boom you are hooked up.

Ya, that's how it worked for me as well. Just logged in with my MLB.com username and password on the app. Trout, you mentioned you were on an iPad, and I did this on my iPhone, maybe the process is different?

MLB TV is such a great product, basically you only miss out on video broadcasts of Jays but you get everything else as far as I know plus regular news updates which reads like a newspaper and you can filter it by team.

Just refreshing when some of the other sports have so many blackouts (ie: NBA) or somewhat unaffordable like English Soccer.

At Bat worked great, and it was a free app (for iPhone and iPad). Watched Matt Cain's perfect game, and the 2010 final game of the WS.

Saturday I will be in Scottsdale to see the Giants in Spring Training vs. COL.

Play Ball!

Rumors that Vernon Wells could be on his way to New York. This is how depleted the Yankee lineup is.

Yup, final now. Money is apparently going back to the Yanks. I don't know what to think. While I really liked well his early Jays years, he was really selfish to the organization by not staying fit which led to his downward trend, of course after he signed his monster contract. Good that the Yanks are going to be stuck with him.

I have to say this pretty awesome. Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Philadelphia Phillies Class A Farm Team) to feature "Urinal Gaming System".

Quote:
(Allentown, PA) - Coca-Cola Park will be the first sports venue in the world to feature a brand new revolutionary "Urinal Gaming System", allowing fans to interact with the world's only truly hands-free urinal game controller, when the Lehigh Valley IronPigs open their 2013 season this April. The p-controlled video game systems will be featured within all men's restrooms at Coca-Cola Park and are exclusively presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network.

"These games are sure to make a huge splash," exclaimed IronPigs General Manager Kurt Landes. "Our fans are always looking for the next big thing and these 'X-Stream games' are another example of our commitment to providing an unparalleled entertainment experience in all aspects of Coca-Cola Park, including our restrooms."

When a user approaches the urinal, the video console flips into gaming mode, using patented technology that detects both his presence and stream. Algorithms then allow the user to engage with the screen by aiming in different directions to test their agility and knowledge. The games are 100% intuitive and custom-built to provide a unique user interface along with an easy and seamless experience. The Urinal Gaming System was created and developed by United Kingdom-based Captive Media. For more information on Captive Media, or to see a video of the p-controlled video games, visit www.captive-media.co.uk.

Upon completion (an average of over 55 seconds according to published research), users will receive their score and a code to enter. They can then view their position on the leader board or check the website to see how they stack up with the rest of that night's competition! High scores will be displayed in real-time across various videoboard displays within Coca-Cola Park.

The guy admitted on the Yankees YES broadcast on Tuesday that he's been a closet Yankees fan for years and always cheered for them in the playoffs.

Verlander extended 5 more years past his current deal. Currently scheduled to make 40 million in the next two years, another 140 million has been added to push him past Hernandez. Plus a vesting option for an 8th year at 22 million making it a potential 202 over 8 years. He is a big strong guy, but also 30 years old. Halladay was similar in that age bracket, but now at 35 is showing signs of wearing down.

I guess in the current market he's worth it, but if anything the length is always a question. Pitchers as we've seen time and time again, can really drop off the map at the drop of a dime. Teams are willing to take the chance all the time and it's a huge risk past year 3, IMO. Dollar-wise, I think he's worth the money - just not at that term (nobody is).
