Going through 14 pages of this thread made my eyes bleed, I really hope KK doesn't look at this thread. I don't trust his judgement after the Edge design.

I love jerseys and was hoping for so much more in this thread. At one point I used to think fan art concepts could design the best Flames jersey.
Not convinced anymore.
Ditch black. This isn't 1998-2005 anymore.

OK gotcha - no black. What's your ideal Flames jersey look like? Do you own one? If so, which one? Why do you like it? Do you like the current ones?

Didn't like a single one eh? Hard man to please... So you don't like the Edge design... Can you describe what you'd like to see? Perhaps one of us will mock it up for you.

Simple, burn the current home and roads and use a white version of the retro. It's absolutely criminal that the Edmonton Oilers have nicer regular jerseys than we do.
Though to be fair there were a couple nice concepts in this thread (specifically I did like the Tower torch secondary logo).

This. The retro whites are my all-time favourite Flames uni. Bring them back with a slight update (kinda like what Edmonton did with theirs), do the same with the current retro reds & use as the main home jersey, turn the 2004 jersey into our thirds.

1. We for sure need to ditch the current vertical lines template. I have not once hear someone prefer our jerseys with the vertical side lines. Id like to see the 04 red's with the new Reebok cut. I doubt they will ever bring the horse back even for a shoulder patch. However, I don't think the flags are the answer! Maybe blank shoulders.. like the retro’s.
2. Our road white should be somewhere close to our 80's white, the past three additions contain way too much black. The 80's white's looked simple, yet solid.
3. I vote no on our 80's red full time, I really like to just see them at home about 7 times a year. Keep's them prestigious!

we never should have tried to fix something that was never broken. ken king always talks about history, pride, heritage etc... well ken, the more you mess around with jerseys, the more you get away from the things you preach.
why are original six team jerseys always seen as some of the best out there? because they had a simple design and it worked, so they kept it. the flames changed their jerseys chasing money, not because the jersey was better.
get back to basics, get back in the old jerseys and stay there.

... I love our jerseys, honestly.. Red and black, plain and simple. Our logo is absolutely great, maybe our jerseys are simple but the contrast between the two is pretty nice looking. It's opinion of course...

IMO, deepen the red a bit. Make it slightly less orange. This would make a great jersey.

I think that you could do a more modern design that stayed true to the original jersey that would look amazing. Ditch black, keep the old color scheme and horizontal lines, but make the lines thinner. Could look absolutely amazing.

I've always thought that an interesting third jersey option for the Flames would be a jersey that has a deeper red and uses gold rather than yellow. I don't want the red to be quite as dark burgundy as Boston College's jerseys that I've posted below, but the picture below is similar to what I think would be a classy third jersey for the Flames. A gold Flaming C on dark red would look killer IMO.
In terms of the regular home and away jerseys, it seems that most fans want to go back to the simple look that we won the cup in. If that Flames make any uniform changes in the next few years and don't go with the vintages full time, I'll be surprised.

^^^ I think those are pretty decent, though I think if we're going to go retro all the time, the 2004 jersey needs to be our 3rd.
