I like how the episode set up lots of potential storylines for the season.
Surprisingly, Betty's is one of the more intriguing. Glad they gave her something other than being the snooty wife of a big shot. Seeing her in the slums of the village interacting with people who are the complete opposite of her, just put a whole new light on the character to me. Her little speech about raping the girl was just crazy though!
Feel so bad for Megan being betrayed by Don. She is going to be devastated. Interesting how her soap opera character is a bad guy, wonder how that plays into things.
Can't wait to see where they go from here.

I think it was first time I've heard Don in an affair say he wanted to stop. Who knows if he will, but I found that interesting. Once I got over my annoyance for Don regressing.

I think he's always wanted to stop. Self-loathing is part of his character.

I agree to a certain extent. But in all the affairs he's had, I don't think in post coitus afterglow he's mentioned wanting to stop to other party.

I hope they turn down the screen time that they gave Betty in the first episode. I am not interested in her story/character/acting. There are other characters that IMO have more interesting stories.

I don't like the make-up they're using to make Betty look over-weight. It looks terrible and is distracting. It doesn't help that her acting is so wooden.

So, no posts in this thread and it's been two days since the last episode.
I think that speaks volumes.
This season has sucked thus far.

I liked last weeks episode better than the premier. I'm glad that Trudy kicked Peter out.
Also I feel really ####ty for Megan.

I enjoyed it as well, better than the first (two) episodes. Also it had the right amount of Betty (ie none).
I can't tell where they are going with the kiss ass accountant guy. Does he have some nefarious purpose to his brown nosing, or is he just a really nice guy? Will he be destroyed or corrupted by his cynical and cut throat fellow employees or is he a wolf in sheeps clothing? Etherway it's a little side story that I am interested to see where it goes.

I think he's just upset that Political Animals got cancelled, so he's being really nice hoping he doesn't kill Mad Men.

Just got around to watching last weeks episode - I thought it was fantastic. Loved the contrast between Pete and Don's dalliances with their neighbours. The scene with Megan and the doctor's wife was amazing as well.
I agree that the opener was a little slow but it set up multiple plot lines for the season. I find that Mad Men tends to have a couple slower episodes that set up an episode that is packed with drama.

Don is such an ass, I love it.
Solid episode. Harry storming into the partners meeting was fantastic. "I'm sorry my accomplishments happened in broad daylight, and I can't be given the same rewards." I'm not a huge Harry fan, but that was cool.

They said it in the episode, best thing he's done in his entire time at the agency

At least Harry influenced the storyline. The first time since season two or three?

It seems people are trying to figure out what the deal is with Bob Benson: http://www.tv.com/news/mad-men-specu...-136682755159/
I like the theory that he's time-travelling Bobby Draper and he's come back to throw Don off the roof of the building, like in the opening credits.
I guess I've worked with too many advertising sales guys in my life because he didn't strike me as anything more that a typical suck-up "Account Rep" sales-weasle.

Holy crap ... Jon Hamm's Emmy submission needs to be that bedroom scene talking about children. That was powerful.
Overall a great episode this week, I would be curious if they start to depict White Flight, but most of the characters are already suburb dwellers.
