I was thinking the same thing. Put in the 4th or 5th pitchers in the lineup and then they'll still be fresh for their start later on.

Davis simply made a mental error. It sucks but you sometimes don't learn unless you make a mistake. They won't make the mistake the rest of the year that's for sure.
