Yeah I went to the show in Calgary last week and it was pretty great. I was expecting Ace to be sick, but was very pleasantly surprised at Strick, didn't think he would be that impressive live.
Same! Whenever I listened to eMC, I found that Stricklind was just average, but he put on a pretty good live show.
The biggest disappointment to me regarding Masta Ace is that his voice has really changed from his Juice Crew days. Kinda sucks because he had such a unique style, but oh well. He's a legend nonetheless haha.

I have a buddy who saw Ace a couple years back in NYC (now that would have been a sick show!) so I kind of knew what to expect...but I agree.

I haven't been through this entire thread so I hope nobody had posted any of this guys stuff yet. His name is Dub FX and is an Australian dude that (until recently) made all of his music on the street. If you watch the video (the second one shows this more so) right from the start you'll see he makes his entire beat with his voice through a mix of bboxing, singing and making odd sounds. He then layers and loops the random recordings to literally make a beat out of his own voice, then starts to rap/sing reggae over it, on the first track he also has Mr Woodnote playing the sax, which makes the whole deal even better.
Just imagine seeing this dude perform on the sidewalk for spare change...I think my mind would be blown!

i downloaded the whole list and have been enjoying it all.
Cancer for Cure hasn't dropped yet. Well, hasn't dropped officially, it leaked. I figured since I have it on preorder I am entitled to a listen.
Holy fata. EL-P shows once again he has the BEST production in the rap game, and some of the most interesting tracks to listen to. This album is MASSIVE, and deserves a listen from everyone.
