Overrated / Underrated TV: The Walking Dead
Underrated because two episodes of this season were absolutely fantastic. Overrated because this seasons had seven episodes.
This season has 13 episodes. They're just on a break until February.
I just started watching "The Life and Times of Tim" and "Ugly Americans". I don't know how popular these are or not, but I am guessing that since they're still on the air they're doing all right.
It breaks my heart that such a great comic performance by Jane Lynch is buried between pseudo-teen angst and unwatchable and unlistenable musical numbers. How about a Sue Sylvester spin-off show that's just a half hour of her making kids cry? I'd watch it.

I honestly think that she's better as a snide background character then something that carries a whole show.
I also think that Sue is getting a little stale on that show.
She was brilliant in role models and the 40 year old virgin.
I'd rather they do a mash ending with Sue Sylvester on Glee, the MacLean Stevenson ending to a character.

Huge fan of Ugly Americans. The first bit of the second season wasn't all that great, but it got better as it went.

I was told to come here to share my opinion that Firefly was a totally overrated show, but in actuality, not enough people liked it to even get it a second season, so I guess it's not really overrated at all, and since it most certainly isn't underrated I'm conflicted about where to share the fact that Firefly sucked.

We work on a couple of AMC shows here and I had a chat with an exec last week and she said the general conciseness at AMC is that their shows would work better as six episode seasons but are stuck trying to fill schedules and time slots. Also why they take long breaks, try to break it down into two seasons in one essentially.
I enjoy the walking dead but it does suffer from the occasional useless episode.
A comedy that I thought was quite funny in the early 90's was Quick Change with
Bill Murray , Geena Davis and Randy Quaid. It wasn't a masterpiece by no means but funnier than a lot of comedies of that era that got more attention and replay time.
