Is there one big friendly server that you all play on?
I used to play on the cowpi server, or something like that. Built some pretty cool things, but they kept resetting the map and then went into full creation mode. That's pretty boring, and I haven't played since then.
Not yet, but should be within a day or so. There's a lot of compressing and uploading to do. I know right now I'm uploading the first half of Round 2 because it required no editing, and it's over a gig even compressed.
Just an FYI I have started a YouTube Channel. Going to be uploading some Let's Play + some other stuff. I am still very early in, but would appreciate the views and maybe even some help/ constructive criticism. Anyways here is my YouTube Channel:
Ok, so I tested my software again and it turns out it sucks, so I picked up Fraps.
Ran a quick test and made a video. Not sure I like the results as far as quality go, what programs ( and settings ) do you use for both capture and the final compression?

Can't vouch for others, but I use Fraps at 30FPS Full Size, then I use Sony Vegas Pro 11.0 to do the editing (I still need to work on this as I am somewhat new to the program). For Audio I went out and bought a Logitech G35 Headset, which I find that the reception is quite good for my environment (Wife and Kids) and my voice. I do my encoding at 30fps 720p HD video. I encode into .wmv file format for now, but may change it later (if anyone has any advice on this?) Also i do full Video Smoothness with the Best Video Rendering Quality.
I use Fraps, 30 fps, full size, Windows Movie Maker. I use this (http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX3193) incredibly cheap microphone and listen to sound through my speakers. There's a slight echo during the Ultra Hardcore because I turned my game sound up louder than usual.

Are you running Vista or 7? I have XP also with a G35, and I am having no luck trying to get both game sounds and mic sounds from the G35 recorded in the same stream. Tried Virtual Audio Cable and can get it running, but quality is the sh*ts. Just can't figure it out.

I am currently on W7, but I will look into this. Don't see why there would be an issue as the USB port should automatically override the Sound settings of the soundcard/speakers. The Logitech G35 has a built in soundcard.
I think I ran my video's through at 720p Half size, so I guess that explains the quality. For UHC I will probably stick with that but for other videos I will try 1080p Full size.
