That was a hell of a relay to gun down Altuve.

Never cheered for the Rays before but I really hope they can pull off the comeback. The Astros have ruined this current iteration of baseball with celebrated tanking.

They are the absolute worst. They think they have to correct or give advice about every little thing. At least with Costas as PBP he can get a word in. Steve Levy the other night could hardly say a word.

I don't think that's really fair. New ownership came in and invested heavily in scouting, development and analytics. They were awful when they bought the team and instead of spending money to get mediocre quickly they kept their powder dry for when the young players matured and were ready to compete. To me, that's how you do it.
As for this series the one thing that concerned me was the bats going cold. It can happen to any team. Astros haven't hit the whole series and if it doesn't change Thursday, this dream season will be over.

Maybe Freddie Freeman should worry less about Acuña not running hard after he gets a hit and more about him choking like a dog in the playoffs...

The inning is over and it's 1-0 if Freddie Freeman grounds the ball. ####ing unreal!

Lol at needing the mercy rule after a half inning. The Braves and choking, a better love story than Twilight.

The Braves best pitcher this season was Mike Soroka and he got one start in this series. LOL Brian Snitker

What a shocking finish to an otherwise great series.
Agreed on the Soroka front. Dude was money and he should’ve been set up to pitch a possible game 5. Maybe the Braves were looking past the Cardinals and wanted Soroka fresher for the CS?

They were fairly unapologetic about the losing and said as much about tanking. They gambled with it and it paid off for them. My frustration is with Baseball being a copycat league so many other teams are trying the same blueprint. Which leads to very uncompetitive teams. There was a reason why there were the most 100 win and 90 win teams in MLB history this year. And then you get teams like the Twins making the playoffs because 3 teams in their division were utter garbage and fielding uncompetitive teams. I will always respect teams like the Cardinals more who field the most competitive teams they can and continually see forms of success.

Every single Cardinals' batter scored a run in the first.
I'm not sure if something like that has ever happened before.

Best part is Wong sacrificed to play for one run.

Is the old iteration of the Yankee$ and Dodger$ buying pennants any better?

Shocking performance from the home plate ump tonight. Dodgers basically getting another foot for their strike zone.
