Meh.

Game not over, but still. Least deserved win of the tournament so far if this score holds.

US had almost nothing going on most of the game.

But they forced that corner. A little effort goes a long way

Admitted, not exactly a robbery either.

Still, I feel like Ghana could have gone somewhere in this tournament with a little luck. I don't see US doing that.

Klinsmann is a great coach though. Gets the most out of a very unimpressive squad.

Well as Clint Eastwood says 'deserves got nothing to do with it' but suprising to see the US win that considering they did basically nothing all game.

Big winners are Portugal and Germany as Ghana looks frustrated and ready to implode and the US looked pretty bad. Hard to see either of those teams giving the top teams any trouble at all.

Perhaps but Africans are just so disorganized. How may wayward impossible shots went into Row Z? 10? The needed to play more to feet inside the box against a tiring US side. The goal they scored was brilliant.

And the tackling, gave the US too many unnecessary free kicks which ran the block down.

The US conditioning is a concern.

Portugal took a beating with a suspension and 2-3 injuries last game though. If they don't score early or if US scores an early goal, they could also have a mental meltdown. Also, with Portugal giving up four against Germany, US probably only needs to tie Portugal to move on.

Germany will probably destroy both Ghana and US.

The US were badly outmatched by the Ghana attackers, Ronaldo should have a field day against them. Even with injuries the Portguese replacements are better than the US starters.

The US could get a lucky one early but my guess is Ronaldo carves them up early and they are left even more open when they have to open it up since they have no creative players to threaten Portugal.

Maybe, but the last 10-15 minutes, I thought the Americans looked a lot fresher than Ghana.

Just got to wtach the games after work. Germany deserved to thrash portugal. Was a bit of a dive by mueller but honestly you see the same thing 10 times a game, the portugese was an idiot for headbutting him and they were out of control all match, one of their defenders bumped the ref after the first penalty and I'm not prude but half the world is watching including tonnes of kids (re middle fingers). Be a friggin role model you greasy bad haircut dirtbag.

Also if landycakes donovan gets called up to replace altidore i might have to start cheering against the states.
