I think Vladdy evens said to Eovaldi that was a strike. That was a bad missed call.

What is the justification for not bunting your way on base literally every time these stupid shifts give away half the infield?

Dirty slider to end the inning from Manoah.

Red Sox are a bit squirrelly in the box Right now.

And you don't even need to bunt, just tap the bat in that direction, like you're knocking a grounder out for infield practice.

I know that personally I always tune in to see the umps strike out the best hitters in baseball on balls.

Great job by Manoah there.

Maguire and then the top of the order here - time to get busy

Sigh. Not liking how this is trending. A split series is a loss in my mind.

Manoah is a stud.

Future staff ace.

- I wrote this before he struck out the 2, 3 and 4 hitters facing them for the third time.

I stand by it.

Getting some competition going between him and Pearson would be excellent. Might be just what Pearson needs - if Manoah can do it, so can I.

Get ####ed. Why are you trying to pull a fastball on the outside corner? That's the fastest way to kill a rally. Grichuk can get hot but at the end of the day he will always be grichuk.

All he had to do was hold the bat out there and he wouldve poked a single through the vacant right side of the shift.

I’ve never been a fan of his but I do think he’s grown a lot this year. If he can be more disciplined he could be really good given this years development. But he seems to be a little slow between the ears during pressure situations, always reaching or looking to pull it.

Tellez. Predictable AF. So tired of him in the lineup.

I mean. Nobody was expecting another 18. But after a record setting performance Fri-Sun this is a pretty savage drop off.

A ball in and out of Gurriels glove is likely going to be the difference and the Jays will split a series that they should've swept.

Edit. I love when posts don't age well
