If Shapo wins today, I'll have euro final on TV and tennis on ipad.
However I would probably put tennis on pause and delay watching championship deciding set so I can watch it after on TV with full sound. Unless it was a route by Djokovic, then I'd turn it off in anger and focus on soccer. Might do the opposite if Italy was getting crushed like 2012 final.

As long as Shapo ball toss catches are greater than double faults, it's all good lol

It's actually kinda embarrassing a professional can't have a consistent ball toss, Denis is very lucky there isn't a "toss it, play it" rule.

It is weird to see Djoker that far behind the baseline. Keep it going Denis!

The longer the roof stays open the better for Shapo. Looks cold and windy and one thing that can affect Novak's game is wind.

Great start for Dennis. You couldn't draw it up any better. He needs to be cautious he doesn't let the early success change his approach though. The minute he starts going for too much or eases up on his serve, Novak will eat him up.

They're absolutely closing the roof before the set ends, which will give Djoker a minute to reset. Just needs to be relentless - keep Novak on his heels (as much as he ever is) and if the shots go in they go in.

Hard and deep is glaringly obvious half way through this first set regardless of the roof. Shapo doesn't need to paint the lines, he just needs to keep taking away Novak's time with assertive, high percentage ground strokes.

The announcers need to stop blaming Denis for not challenging calls and start getting on the line judges. That's three wrong calls, and the chair getting only one (which is fine because it was the only clear one).

A few tidbits:
Novak is 120-159 after dropping the first set of a match (.959 after winning the first).
Novak's career winning percentage against lefties is .764 (.842 against righties)

Closing this set out on his serve is crucial and will easily be the biggest service game of Shapo's career. How he holds up in this game is going to say a lot about the rest of the match.

Big pressure moment here... huge. Agreed with Hot_flatus. If Djoker steps it up and breaks you have to think he'll roll through the set.

That's four. All in favour of Novak. This is borderline rigged.

How is that not Shapo's point? No way Djoker was getting that ball back.
Edit: Moot point now, but the umpire should have awarded Denis that point.
