Zeuch starting could be as simple as him being an opener. I suspect after him Shoemaker or Ray will see a few innings, with the other getting some tomorrow.

I believe Shoe pitched a side session instead of starting so if thats true he wont pitch today.

Good job by Zeuch to get out of a jam, but he definitely got some help with an overturned call that shouldn't have happened. Vlad was off the bag. The ump got it right the first time calling the runner safe.
However, it's entirely possible that the next batter hits into a double play, so it may be moot.

lol Zeuch with no walks and no Ks in 5 innings.
Talk about a pitch to contact pitcher with good control.

Good thing Hernandez has an arm and Mountcastle sucks at sliding or Stripling still wouldn't have any outs and the tying run would be at the plate.

Stripling getting rocked and then to pour salt in the wound he literally gets hit hard by a come backer. Great play by Kirk though to get the out.
And I missed it but they just said LGJ left the game earlier after fouling a pitch off himself.
####ing wonderful.

Jays win!
I really want the Jays to win and Yanks to lose tomorrow. Not because I think the AL Central teams will be easier to beat but because it increases the odds of getting home field advantage in the ALDS.

Good vibes all around. I'm excited though still wary about pitching. And I guess I have to give credit to Montoya because warts and injuries and all, this team is still much better than expected.

If for no other reason than to be able to say they finished ahead of the Yankees.
Also, they are MUCH better in Buffalo than on the road (scoring 2 full runs per game more, for example), so any hope of home field is worth pursuing.

Absolutely.
Our playoff bracket is locked in
#1 Rays
#8 Jays/Yankees
#4 Twins/White Sox/Indians
#5 Jays/Yankees
So, I feel like if we can get the #5 seed and win the WC round, that the Yankees knocking off the Rays is also a legitimate possibility, leaving us with home field against the Yanks in round 2.

plus, if the 6 or 7 seed comes out of the other bracket, they have home field for the ALCS.
