Pretty much confirming what Friedman is reporting.
Wild have made their final offer for Trocheck. Rangers trying to see if someone can beat the Wild offer.

If you’re on a team like the Lightning, Sam O’Reilly is never going to play a significant role for you while you’ve got your championship core.
His value is trade bait, 100%

I continue to be very much in favour of O'Reilly for Coleman
Our right side with him in the fold:
Gridin (19)
Coronato (23)
Wyttenbach (18)
O'Reilly (19)
Klapka (25)

He's easier to trade in the sense that he's a prospect who possesses NHL tools and projectability but doesn't have the upside to make a GM lose sleep over when dealing either.

Elliotte reporting the Oilers are in on Connor Murphy. I just don’t think he is very good but I hope the Hawks get a lot for him.

Ya prospects who get traded a lot generally have red flags (see Phillippe Paradis), but in O'Reilly's case, the Oilers undoubtedly felt that Howard was closer to contributing, and I assume Tampa, who was running out of time, always viewed him as someone they could flip down the road.

I don't think they will spend to become older. They may give their current core a crack at getting in the playoffs to do damage, but Trotz has stated he wants to get younger not older.

No. He had eggs for lunch. The Flames don't make trades when he has eggs for lunch.
