And as stated, they did a discount and advertised for all Canadian teams but idiots still wanna say things like they should do better as Calgarians. How much have you donated to local sports last year? If it's not over $20k then why aren't you a better Calgarian?

That's what you take from this? This isn't about Edmonton or the Oilers. It's about shaming Calgarians that are active contributors to Calgary and Calgary youth sports beacuase they cheer for a rival

I am not talking about your Oiler friend who owns the other bar, good for them if they are donating that much money to charity. I am talking about Jamieson's who did not advertise a discount for all Canadian teams, it was only the Oilers.

If anybody is actually hassling or threatening your friend then that's uncool, obviously.

Still, going into E=NG to make these points/protests is very silly. There's literally any other thread for that if you really want to invite the CP "brigade" to pile on you for being dramatic.

There were literally threats made to Jamesons. They had to advise their staff as such. Rivalry ribbing is to be expected and encouraged. Anything else is disgusting and actually shameful.

E=NG does not mean that everyone that cheers for E=NG and deserves to be shamed or worse. This thread should post about how E=NG and when it shifts to actually trying to shame Calgarians I will speak up as that's shameful as fans and not even close to the intent of the thread.

The fact you can't figure that out is quite ridiculous.

I know when people were talking about it and I commented then as well. Now it's gotten worse for the establishments and the rhetoric in this thread stays the same so I commented again. E=NG always and forever, but I will never agree with the messaging in this thread.

Also, if Oiler fans gravitate to your bar you should be worried and also look into extra insurance. Pay your cleaning staff extra as well.
