Well Kane said he wanted to be an NFL kicker someday. Picking the World Cup to showcase them skills, well, not ideal. Brutal loss for England, deserved to go through but as we see often in this sport when you are dominating you need to score. And they just didn't. And big ups to Giroud, maybe the most underrated player of his generation. Not an elite striker by any means, but constantly delivers.

Death, taxes, and England tripping over their own dicks in the knockout stage.

Man if that kick is from theee feet further back that’s a goal.

I do wish teams would have more plays like the Netherlands did yesterday from
That position. Feels like opportunity was there.

Just so tired of a manager who constantly leaves the best players on the bench in favor of Henderson and maguire

Refuses to make early subs when we need to press the advantage

Please leave gareth

The Ref was bribed, the game was rigged, the tournament is invalid, start the whole tournament over with England getting a bye to the Semis.

Wow england... always finding ways to lose. France got outplayed badly in that 2nd half but the one lapse in coverage and Kanes penalty miss will be a defining moment for a long time. Argentina was the only one of the 4 teams going through who won possession and had more shots I think which is just crazy.

Counter attacking football gonna become the new trendy tactic

tough loss. Sucks for Kane to shoot high...

fun game from a neutral fan's pov though.

France Morocco is an interesting matchup...not sure of the societal makeup, but I think there's a pretty large Moroccan contingent living in France (though I could be mistaken)

You could see today that England has the quality to go toe to toe with France too and even control large parts of the game.
Imagine what they could do by actually playing their best 11 and going for it.

Lifetime Contract Extension.

Or England could try and score goals without penalties...like, from open play. I'm not saying they have to always score by playing but you know, just from time to time, for variety's sake if nothing else.

Meh the one dutch guy didn't block out the defender and that defender was unlucky not to get a foot on it before it fell for the shot...and then it would be called the worst free kick.

Point is there's too many legs and bodies to try get too cute when the ball is 19 yards from goal and putting a skilled hammer on it would be a good goal.

Good from Rashford and it dipped 4 yards too late.

Is it fitting that England are knocked out because they missed a penalty and that Giroud had 'Arry Mags in his back pocket?
