I hope Sam can stay healthy, he is clearly breaking out now in a big way. Nice to see.

Wasn't the prettiest goal, Blackwood didn't look great, but credit to Sam for driving the net and creating the chance.

The whole play that led to the goal was nice. Nothing against Bennett as it was a nice goal, but that whole line schooled New Jersey. He had more time and space than he should have. Definitely a "this guy scored" moment.

McBennett is going to go 1 on 5 and score and steal the goal of the year away from Connor Waterwalker.

Huberdeau was probably driving the play, simultaneously pumping Sam's corsi with his pinkie finger, dangling, shooting, and it likely went off Sam's ass.
Wait what, Raggy? Sam has higher corsi than Hube's has since Sam arrived in Florida? Get the #### out. Well at even strength, Hubiedoo must be driving the bus still. Well what the...

Would have loved to see what Darryl Sutter’s, Sam Bennett could have been for the Flames.

So is the assumption that the relationship was too far gone with the Flames to see how he'd do with a real coach? If so, very sad.

I think once there is a trade demand and it goes public, it is almost always impossible to return to normal. The relationships become awkward after that and I am sure it works it's way into team chemistry on and off the ice.

Bennett with a nice goal low-skill low IQ play going to the front of the net to pot a ppg off a nice pass from Duclair to tie the game at 1.
Then a couple very good chances late in the 3rd, before laying out Provorov and drawing a retaliation penalty.

I knew someone was going to bump this...
2 point night in a 2-1 OT win. Florida ties an NHL record for consecutive home wins to start a season (or whatever)
