Not bad for who? Flames, right? Conroy did great on that deal. Replaced Toffoli's production with a 25 year old player, who Conroy then extended and got a 2nd to boot.

I think both teams at the end of the day did pretty well, and then on top of that WPG also does well.

I don't think that is how it works.
New Jersey traded Sharangovich + 3rd for 60 games of Toffoli + 2nd + 3rd.
So, effectively Sharangovich for 60 games of Toffoli + 2nd.
It is okay to say both teams did okay with these trades. Not every trade needs to be a win and lose.

The owner has not stopped anything outside of having a high price on retention especially if its a multi year deal.
If you want a handful of skittles for players then we have plenty of offers for that.

Not really what I mean.
"I think the market will be worse in the summer" is fine opinion.
But when it enters into the notion that they have to take what Jersey is offering when nobody has a clue what that offer is ... gets sketchy.
