It would be very difficult to identify an anonymous leak. I believe that the media could and would still report on it if an anonymous source brought the receipts.
If I had some (any) free time, I'd love to be a mole and expose these numpties.
Because they are largely funded by Americans, and they don't want that kinda thing getting out.
Ya... but how would a canvasser get exposed to that? I can see it being applicable to the organizers who are more imbedded into the machine but a front line person who is just out there getting signatures... they would have to be doing something underhanded, like paying people for their signature.

Because these people need to be in the same room together. They love chit-chat, spread rumours, and feel connected at these separatist meetings they hold. Realistically, most canvassers are going to be pretty hardcore and support the foreign interference. This is only to prevent moles.
Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation filed the lawsuit in Edmonton Court of King’s Bench Monday, claiming Alberta, its chief electoral officer and the attorney general of Canada breached their legal and treaty obligations to the nation.
“Alberta’s secession cannot happen without First Nation consent to change a party to Treaty No. 8,” the claim states. “Consent, not consultation, is required before the question of secession is delegated from a party to the treaty to the individuals who have come to inhabit Alberta.”
The suit also claims separatist organizers have courted foreign interference by the U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, and that Alberta “wittingly conspired” with separatists “to create the legislative conditions for an unlawful, separatist petition.”

War on the Rockies is a 20-minute documentary film showcasing the rising resistance to the expanding extractive and industrial takeover of Alberta’s Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountains.
Told through the voices of everyday Albertans, land defenders, community members, water protectors, and concerned citizens, the film explores what is at stake in the headwaters of the Bow, Oldman, Red Deer, and North Saskatchewan River systems, and why people from across the province are stepping forward to defend them.
This event is more than a film screening. It is a Defenders of the Eastern Slopes gathering, bringing together art, storytelling, discussion, and opportunities to plug into ongoing efforts to protect and restore Alberta’s headwaters.
This event is free to attend. Donations are optional and help sustain grassroots organizing and future screenings.

Why are Elections Alberta accredited canvassers for the separatists’ petition required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with the separatists?
I'm told it's because under the new rules, you have to show ID when signing the petition. Under the old rules, you merely had to declare that you were on the voters list.
Thus, canvassers need to keep this voter information confidential.
Seems weird, the regular canvassers have your info anyways...your ID doesnt contain any info that you dont sign right onto their sheet.
This is the only one with their new custom made UCP rules though, right?
Alberta's two biggest school divisions say dozens of library books have been taken off the shelves as the province's ban on sexually explicit material took effect this week.
Garrett Koehler, the press secretary for Nicolaides, said Tuesday the government had no input on the final lists.
"School boards had the final decision and full discretion on creating the lists based on the ministerial order," Koehler said in an email.
That quote is funny...school boards had full authority to do what we told them to do.
And the Boards not releasing the titles of the books they banned...so transparent!

Former AHS board member claims podcasters paid to smear him ahead of Mentzelopoulos testimony
'Mr. Edmonstone has been targeted in an apparent campaign to attack, punish, embarrass, in other words, discredit Mr. Edmonstone before he can give that testimony'
Podcaster accused of harassing former AHS board member says he was hired by Edmonton lawyer for "unspecified work" court records show.
That lawyer is Bryan Ward, who has acted for Sam Mraiche a number of times.

Great interview with Dr Paul Parks, past AMA president and ER Physician in Med Hat.
One thing he points out is it used to be if you broke your hip, you'd have surgery in hospital within 24 hours. Now patients are waiting up to a week. This is because the province only funds so many surgeries, and if that funding is diverted to private clinics, hospitals have less to work with for emergencies. He says every hospital in the province has empty OR's and available surgeons, but not the funding or nurses and anesthesiologists(probably working private clinics...). The province fired anyone who pointed these things out.
My thought, as surgeons realize they have unused time and can also work in the private system, this will just further serve to move them out of public.
There's more in the interview(and I'm only halfway) but another point was another person died that same day waiting to move from EMS to the same hospital. Died alone, waiting for space.
"You might not die, but you will wait 12 hours in 10/10 pain and not get any treatment or analgesics. That is the norm."
Sorry, I should stop. Nothing can be done and it's bad everywhere.
