I bet Morgan makes an appearance during the big battle.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Even if a vehicle sits abandoned with gas in the tank, it gums up between 6-18 months without use.

Well it is a TV show. If it was real they would be going into neutral every downslope.

In a world with zombies.........fuel may not become an unusuable liquid. Think of Hershels shotgun.

I call it the "Plot sized ammo box".
A prime example was when they started clearing the prison.
They didn't want to waste ammo clearing out the inside of the prison, but when it came to clearing out the yard, where they could have easily stood on along the fence (inside the perimiter, but outside the courtyard and picked off zombies withouth a single shot) they shot the place up from all sides.
Why? Because of the plot sized ammo box.
Shooting zombies en mass from a guard tower = cool scene
Standing at a fence stabbing zombies one at a time in relative safety = Boooring!
Therefore, the ammo box will be magically full, light 'em up Rick!
Running around narrow halls in the dark picking off zombies one by one with a gun and no real danger = Boooring!
Walking through the halls with just a machette and having to fight zombies hand to hand, plus you get to do that cool phalanx thinggy = exciting scene
Therefore, the ammo box is now running low....sorry Rick, looks like you're doing this one the hard way.

To me, that episode highlighted what I like most about the show and that's seeing the different types of characters outside of the normal comfort zone and how they react to this situation. How they have changed. We have only seen Morgan's character in two episodes and he was completely changed and it was totally believable.
I could care less if there is zero zombies killed or 300 in an episode. This is a character driven show and we learned things about 4 characters in this episode.
Yes, in terms of the Woodbury/Prison angle, absolutely nothing progressed outside of the crew getting more guns, but as a one-off, I see nothing wrong with going away from the norm.
For example, look at the Sopranos, a classic TV drama that changed TV. Undeniably, two most popular episodes are College and Pine Barrens where the viewer is taken away from the comfort zone and characters are explored in different way.
If done right, having an isolated episode like what we saw two episodes ago in Walking Dead is fantastic.

They already used that method to get into the prison. I think with the Governor hovering around and people getting sniped standing around outside, I think it's a waste of their energy right now.

Plus, there have been many times they have come across what seems to be or should be a fully isolated group of zombies. No new ones could have been added.
Not here to bust on the premise, cause I'm enjoying the show, and suspending my belief as much as I can, I was just commenting on the other 'what if' zombie related survival questions. Sure they make sense, and there's probably even more of them than that, but ultimately it's a fools errand to say, 'well the characters should just do this,' because the whole thing is way past making sense right now.
Not that I was ripping on those posters either, just adding my observation. Ocean vessels and northern climes do make for a reprieve, logically. But ultimately it's up to the writers, cause the zombies have stopped existing logically and are running on TV magic. It all depends on what the writers want to do. Perhaps there are groups that have done this already and that's coming up in future season. Maybe there's a research station in Nunavut that's close to a cure!

Logically they could never exist.

As far as I am concernen, Rick's going crazy led up to that episode. Made him look at him self and get some great fire power at the same time.

Well I prefaced my first comment by saying I'm not coming down on the show, I enjoy it, and it is about zombies, so... The conversation just kinda became fun looking at all the different reality jumps one has to take in watching a show like this.
I don't think anyone here is coming down on it, most of us here are enjoying it quite a bit.

Just speculating here. I have this gut feeling that Carl will end up killing the Governor at some point to save his dad. That will be his big 'coming of age' moment.
If not kill the Governor, he'll wound him enough for his people to leave the prison alone for a while until next season.
Just my prediction.

I think his coming of age moment came when he had to put his mom down... :/
You could be right, but I dunno, could be to sugary a resolution.

I know, that's what I'm worried about. I'm expecting the aforementioned scenario because it just seems so cliche.
I really hope the directors don't go down that road, but I'm bracing myself for it.

Yup, probably how I feel regarding it too. Though Andrea being involved would probably be the safest bet. Whether she lives or dies, well could go either way.
