I would agree, and that's why I felt the need to disclaim that I wasn't sure about the last little while. I doubt he's getting the kind of TOI this season that he got last year. I still think he has value though.
He has kind of worked his way down the lineup TBF. He's had time with all top 3 lines. Mostly with Kadri (like last year) though.

I'm actually referring to Pospisil's advanced stats. I'm not sure what they look like in the last little while, but his numbers last year showed that he really tilted the ice for us. Our win/loss record was affected by his presence in the lineup, as well.
Not to mention, his speed was clocked earlier this year on a radar gun as being the fastest on the team...
Actually, what I think I heard earlier this year a few weeks ago was that Pospisil reached the fastest speed out of anyone in the entire NHL up until that point in the season. No idea if it has been beaten by now or not, but he is one of the fastest skaters in the NHL apparently. I know that stat blew my mind when it was announced during a game on Sportsnet.

That’s what I had typed up, but I edited it cuz I second guessed myself. Thanks for this.

I know every player has their price, and obviously we have bigger needs, but I would attempt to hold on to Pospisil for as long as possible.
He is struggling a bit this year, but he has raw tools that are unique to the team.
He is a pest who can play up and down the lineup. He is our fastest and strongest player. He drags the team into the fight and is underrated offensively. He is cheap.
Honestly, I would try to re-sign him this summer to a long-term deal (6 yrs, 3.5M). I think he will outplay it and be a leader on this team going forward.

Not sure if I'm reading the stats right, but for maximum sustained skating speed, he's third behind Stamkos and Slavin.
That's odd. Stamkos has never been an elite skater to me. He's gotten to be average but to have that record is either impressive or some strange anomaly.
Pospisil reminds me of Hathaway, a guy you don't want to pay a ton but brings a ton of grit, heart, and energy to your team. Martin seems to have more skill than Garnet which you like.
If you trade Pospisil he's the kind of guy you're immediately looking for, and we don't have enough of these guys, otherwise we're back to being a soft team.

I don't see the flames moving pospisil
I think conroy values grit and size based on scouting and drafting
Unless it's a haul. I think he is underrated by some.
Look at what coleman Jeannot goodrow fetched at deadline deals. He is young has grit pims . Scoring at high rate in young career
I am asking for those type of returns
I don't really think that Pospisil is a guy you look at trading, but if a team offers you more than what you feel he is worth to your team, you pull the trigger on that. I would, if possible, try to find more Pospisils, rather than get rid of them.
I don't think I would move Pospisil for a late first at this point, but for someone who doesn't value 'intangibles' as much as I do, perhaps that's the price you drive him to the airport for. I feel he is the type of player that is hard to gauge value on.
Part of the rationale why I wouldn't move him is how I feel how much he probably contributed to the current culture that this team has. Though Honzek isn't on the team right now, he definitely helped Honzek's off-season training. Weegar has cited him as someone who practices just as hard as he plays in games, and says that it is infectious (and how he hated him at first, but grew to really love and respect him).
I also believe that when I watch how hard Zary and Pospisil play (and once again, how hard Pospisil trains in the off-season and practices day-to-day), that these 'kids' are the kind of kids to help show the way to the next generation of kids coming up. You may not need as many vets around because some of these kids are becoming the type of professional players you need to have around the youth. There is a real sense of maturity and seriousness about those two players in particular for me.

This is 100%. These guys give a #### and the guys that don't will only hold them back.

One thing that worries me about pospisil obviously is checkered injury concussion history. Great fitness as mentioned hopefully he grows out of injuries. He just might for a long career. Otherwise upside is a ferland. Long term career could burrows or Marchand lite. Super valuable. As mentioned late 1st is probably not even enough. Guy drives ppl nuts draws penalties is fun to watch and drives other players to new heights. I am a proponent of keeping. If u get full slate of picks like jeannot do u move? Risk signing long term like jennot too but he still fetched two picks. I hope pospisil is more consistent with offense too. Time will tell. Seems like a good two way player too back checks hard. And fast
Mistakes of past include letting go of Hathaway (left hole on fourth line) lomberg (Well he came back) tkachuk (kind of forced us)
Watch out for ciona
Breakout physical improved skating next pospisil light imo. Flames develop these types well
Update 9 pts 16 games 34 pims for ciona Breakout plus 8 Watchung this guy in interviews quiet confidence... i will make nhl. Late breakout in whl. Late bloomer

IMO, we haven't seen peak Pospisil yet. Rare combo of skating, arsehole and in-tight hands. Hated seeing Huska rip him in the media. Play dropped off immediately after that. Please, please don't trade this kid, there is more there.

I missed this.

He did it after the Oilers game(the first 30 seconds of that post game):

We'll do our best to coach it out of him. There are different ways you can do that. A lot of that is on the player. That's twice now[referring to Pospisil penalties costing the Flames games], so it's not okay.
That's the first game where Huska benched Pospisil for 2 penalties in the O-zone:
I really liked Warner's take about that on Barn Burner(1:45 mark):
Essentially saying the team is asking too much from Pospisil and setting him up to play.
