This loss wasn’t Campbell’s fault…. You need at least one goal to win the game and both super kids got their lofty 9 game road point streaks snapped today. I love how the mighty Oilers’ broadcast crew had a graphic on this stat during the game - jinxing their wonder team.

Just a general comment, a hat tip to Alberta Registries for their foresight.
Oilers fan plates started with DA and then a digit number. Flames ones FA.
Inevitably more than 1000 Oiler fans were going to attach that obnoxiously colored plate to their Dodge Magnums and lifted Ram 3500s, which of course means, yes, the letter changes to DB for the next 1000 plates...an on the nose, fitting label for all Oiler fans, not just the ones with plates.

You know things are getting rough in mulletville when fans want Lowe to take over as GM.
How quickly they forget up there.

This article cracks me up, the best of it is:
“Is it all bad? No. Are there major areas to be concerned about? Absolutely there are. At 5×5, the Oilers’ biggest issue has been their inability to score goals and defend.”
Hahaha the biggest issue is scoring goals and defending at 5x5, what else is there to do? They have a great PP and a crap PK. But at least their PP is good and McDavid and Draisaitl are putting up points, but the team is no good.

It gets better. All those high picks and never won a Calder Trophy.

I can’t imagine what could motivate a fan to buy/wear one of those. What kind of pathetic loser would want to flaunt that?

I would love to see the Oilers record after their hot streak since the beginning of last season and excluding the games Kane has played. As most will recall, this was a panic move after tracking to miss the playoffs last year.
It's funny that despite all of the lottery balls ("and the two best players in the world"), this team is an abuser that shouldnt be in the league away from being a bottom 3rd team.

The Flames might’ve lost last night. But that PK they had on the Penguins PP in OT was great. Guys were sacrificing the body blocking shots and they were able to hold off Crosby, Malkin and co from scoring and force the shootout. I can’t remember the last time I saw the Oilers play team defense like that

The Oilers started 9-1-0 last season. They signed Evander Kane on January 27th, 2022.
That night they played Nashville and won 3-2, giving them a 21-16-2 record.
So if we eliminate their first 10 games, they went 12-15-2 before signing Evander Kane.

i had an awesome 'dad' moment before taking the kids to school this morning.
our daughter (9 yrs old) was at the kitchen table working on vocab (the kids are in french immersion and with her class one of the things they do is write out the french word and then draw a picture that represents that word). matthew (7 yrs old) was finishing up his breakfast.
jordan asks: mommy, what does souffrir mean?
mom: that means to suffer or suffering
jordan: what does it mean to suffer?
me: when a bunch of bad stuff happens and it makes you sad, that's kind of what suffering is
jordan: well what can i draw for that?
matthew: i know! i know! you can draw someone in an oilers jersey!
man i love that little guy!! ha! ha!

McDavid should be a shoe in for an Oscar this year with the amount of flopping around he does.
