Okay fair enough, I just found the final comment you tossed out to be purposely provocative, with no intention of addressing it yourself, which to me would mean it was unnecessary to post it.
... Damn, I'm guilty of the CP version of vaguebooking.

Back on topic, this is about as good a summary of the main threat that Comey's firing represents as you can do in four minutes. Concise, clear, to the point. And I'm not a big Bernie guy by any means.

I'd like to take a moment to say, I miss Barack Obama so goddamn much.
definitely...
one thing i could never, ever understand was why the GOP hated him so much? Racist reason aside, i don't understand policy wise what they hated so much... ditto with Clinton?
people may bring up the Lewinski stuff, but the GOP base hated Clinton well before that... it just went to 11 following that incident...
Trump is destroying many of the institutions that were the foundation of American democracy, but the cheerleaders don't seem to care...
i don't get it...?

It was the racism. As in his policy positions weren't racist or bigoted enough.
I was being facetious but yeah, as that Atlantic article demonstrated, most Republicans seem to be primarily concerned with reversing American culture back to the 1950s. So yeah, even if Clinton wasn't as progressive as Obama, he was still a threat to that.

ah... sorry... i'll go back and check out the article...
it's tough to understand...
going down to Texas in September, which will be my first visit to the south...i am tempted to talk politics, but will probably just keep my head down and mouth shut!

Depends on where you're going. You'll likely be fine in most of the big urban centres.

Unless you're in Austin, probably a well conceived plan.
So Trump is secretly recording conversations in the WH (and elsewhere), after accusing Obama of secretly recording him. I'm wonder if in the history of humanity there has ever been someone more guilty of projecting than Trump. Pretty staggering really how basically everything he accuses others of he is significantly more guilty of.

unfortunately not Austin... going to see the Michigan/Florida CFB game in Arlington at the jerrydome and also going to catch a Rangers game...
should be ok, as it will be in the Fort Worth/Arlington/Dallas corridor... but i'll definitely avoid talking politics as much as possible!
Open carry down there i believe, which will be a bit surreal!
I was there a few days before the election and found that it was strong Trump country. I basically decided not to discuss politics at all except with a couple people I met from Tennessee who were embarrassed beyond belief at Trump at the time. I wonder what they think now?

In Texas, don't discuss Politics, Religion or Barbecue.

Hmm. What exactly happened with Trump's accusation against Obama of being wiretapped? That seems to have fallen off the radar. Is this part of the "baffle and troll" maneuvering of Trump and his team?
