Dont feed the troll's Moon, you of all should be familiar with that saying. You are the last person on the planet id ever engage in conversation in. Now back to football!

anyone think Aaron Rodgers can get 5 TD passes to tie Bradys single season record or 6 to break it?!

What about the post is trolling?

And if that is your view why bother not ignoring me or even responding with the stupid one liner to the post?

Its okay you don't need to engage in the post as you clearly have 0 way to counter the points raised in the post so you go to the garbage "trolling" to take the b!tch way out.

For the Monday nighter, if I'm the saints i don't mind losing this game tonight, i would rather play the Lions in the Playoffs than a division rival for the 3rd time, will be interesting to see how they approach this game.

Lance Moore questionable for Saints, maybe a big game in store for Henderson

Edit - do the saints have the tie breaker over the 49ers or other way around that might change my opinion

49ers have tie breaker.

Saints need to win out and have SF lose to get 2nd seed.

I think he would have had the record had he not sat out a few halfs already. Regardless, he is the best player in the NFL today and will win the MVP.

game means nothing....so essentially its a pre-season game and likely will be played as such...probably see Rodgers and the 1st team guys for the 1st half then give way to Flynn and the rest of the gang...and with Detroits front 4, if they play like they can, i wouldnt subject AR to that many times...he may not even play much more than 1 quarter

Yeah because AJ Smith has such a great eye for talent... Welker is an amazing receiver and probably the best slot receiver in the NFL. Belichek is reknown for letting vets go because he can replace them. It will speak volumes when Belichek franchises Welker as to how good a receiver he is. This is coming from a Jets/Longhorn fan who has hated him in both college and the NFL. He revolutionized his position. How many teams now look for small, quick guys to fill the slot? Pretty much all of them.

Revolutionized the position is really an exaggeration.
Teams still scout for big guys. You say pretty much all of them look for little guys? I can't even name 10 small receivers in the league. How are Anthony Gonzalez, Steve Smith (Giants) and even Welker doing? ok but meh.. nothing special. I think the small RB is more of a trend now. Guys like Sproles, Best, Bush etc...

Gimme the tall receiver every time....

Megatron!
Marques Coltson
Larry Fitzgerald
Andre Johnson
Dez Bryant
Sydney Rice
Plaxico Burress (needs a QB to throw properly to him though)

Those are the guys that make the big plays and go get balls no receiver can get. Little guys are speedy but they need perfectly thrown balls.
I woudn't draft a receiver under 6-1.

Well those guys really play a different position as they rarely line up in the slot, those are largely true wide receivers. Small quick slot receivers have definitely taken on a bigger role, but they aren't the league wide revolution they're being made out to be.

If you don't think Welkers a good football player you don't know your head from your arsehole. If he didn't run great routes, he wouldn't get the targets he does from Brady. Certainly he benefits from Bellichick, Brady and company and the scheme they put together. If they felt there was a better guy for the job, they would have replaced him with that player. Welker is the best slot receiver in the game, and those guys help you move the chains to keep drives alive.

I watch every NE play. Welker does catch alot of balls but misses alot too. NE sometimes goes on stretches where they don't make a first down for 4 or 5 consecutive drives. Welker usually gets less than 10 yards per catch but every once in awhile he does break one (like the 99 yarder in Week 1) which looks spectacular.

I'm still not convinced that Welker is that good. I credit more the NE scheme who has more-or-less invented a new slot position where Brady and Welker could both excel. He certainly is the go-to on 3rd and short.

The entire NFL has changed. Remember when 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 3 was a running down? Now it's almost 100% a throwing down and smaller players like Welker are benefiting.

The NFL is turning into the ##### league, brutal call on Curtis Lofton dude was trying to make a tackle there.

WTF? If Curtis Lofton got flagged for that, Malcolm Jenkins should have been too.

Drew Brees just broke the single season passing record that was held for 27 years. Congrats to him!

He has passed for 300 yards or more an NFL-record 12 times this season too.

weird thing is that Brady could break the record himself next week

depending on the 49ers/Rams game Brees could get pulled early (only way the Saints get a bye is if the 49ers lose and they win)

and depending on the Pats game Brady could have a big game on a very suspect Bills defense (Pats need a win to clinch HFA)

That Saints offence is really something at home. Pretty crazy how Kansas City could be the team who ruined Green Bays perfect season, and a loss to the Rams could force the Saints to play in the first round, and go to San Francisco. I think a second seed Saints team would win the Superbowl. A third seed Saints team might win the Superbowl. Playing an extra game, and having to get thru the Niners in San Fran is a big difference to me.

Great season by Brees, would be the best non MVP season ever if he didn't win. Take him away from the Saints and what's their record? What would the Packers record be with Matt Flynn? The only reason I think Rogers get's the edge is because the Saints can run the ball a bit. But Brees has really made a late case for himself. He's going to get a monster contract this summer.

Just watched Brees post game speech to his team mates and coaches...not sure there is a more humble or classy athlete in the NFL.

Welker has more receptions since 2007 then all of those guys. He has 119 receptions and you say he is doing ok? You have no clue what you are talking about.

Megatron, Johnson and Fitz are the only 3 on that list that are better than Welker.

And Welker enabled NE to do this thus revolutionizing his position. Who was the slot receiver under Belichek before Welker? Bet you can't name him without googling.
