Game is starting to lose my interest a lot. Played a few hours here and there, no upgrades, barely any legendaries. Spent over 700 blood shards without a legendary.

I am assuming since the lack of posts in this thread, you guys as well?

I'll check it out again after the 2.1 patch, but you can only keep doing the same content over and over again before it becomes a boring grind

I'm playing WoW until ladders start up, so Blizzard is still consuming my soul in one way or another. I guess I really do enjoy starting from scratch (aka ladders) since I started a new character in WoW with no existing characters on that particular server. It's been fun to really start over instead of giving my new characters a big boost off the bat.

I lost interest in progressing further once I realized wizards are gimped at Tier 5-6 without a WoW/Mirrorball/fire build. No interest in playing WD. Blowing up demons with elemental powers is satisfying as hell, throwing buckets of frogs at them... not the same.

Got the full Marauder's set, pretty fun. Next character to work on is probably the WD or Crusader.

It's still fun for me since a bunch of my characters aren't geared that well, so there are many items to test out.

I lost interest for a bit. Stopped playing for like a week or two. One night before bed, I randomly decided to pick up the HC witch doctor I started a while back (probably from 1.05 or earlier). Been putting in almost as much time nightly as my SC character.. maybe a bit less on weekends than before. And actually off the bat some of my gear is better on my 35 paragon HC than my 189 paragon SC.

Like I said before, I'm betting ladders will be a good boost for me if this is the case.

Fine sirs. I dinged my monk last night (first lvl 70, since I was studying for the CFA exam up until Saturday).

I want to equip him with:

Aughilds
Blackthornes
Cains
RROG

Where do I go about finding these recipes/items?

Also, can people with the pattern make the set item for me, or do I have to have the pattern and all the mats to craft?

Plans don't drop in any specific area as far as I know. Just keep playing and eventually you will get them. The higher the torment level the better, I would expect though.

And no, others cannot craft the items for you.

Blackthornes isn't a crafted set. You will find lots of the individual pieces (too many, some might say!).

As for the RROG, it can only come from Act 1 horodric caches (from doing all five bounties.)

the only thing that I kinda miss now is using my super demon hunter to farm stuff for my newly level 70 wizard... although I bet that is kind of counter to the whole idea of smart loot.

I think it's only a matter of time before some form of trading comes back. It's kind of a nice way to build a community, when people pass things forward they don't use. At least I hope it does.

Unique crafting materials are no longer required

• Legendary crafting materials will no longer drop
• Existing Legendary crafting materials will now be grey and have had their sell prices increased

Level 70 crafted sets and Legendary items with unique properties now require additional Death's Breath

The storm rainment set for monk seems ok now, but the monkey garb is still useless since it buffs diabos which are worthless. And while the change to Momentum is nice, it doesn't change the fact that the monk is forced to use 3 slots for "must have" passives because not using them completely gimps your character.

I really hope the 2.1 patch does more than just rebalance some skills, the whole class design needs an overhaul. Every other class save the demon hunter is allowed to stack their primary stat since they also get a boost to either armor or resists, but the monk and DH are left with dodge which is almost worthless. You can't dodge ground effects, or arcane sentries, or frozen orbs, or anything else an elite pack will use to kill you, so it leaves us in a distinct disadvantage compared to the other classes

Yeah, I agree that the changes are a start, but i think they need to change defensively what Dex does. Since Dodge seems to be much worse than All Resist and Armor, especially since dodge is useless to ground effects. There is that passive that gives your a boost on armor based on DEx, but that's only like 30%.

Maybe they'll have new legendary diabo that would make they worth using over duel welding. Either way, i'll test out my monk tonight/tomorrow to see how it is, maybe try to get the sets and experiment a bit. I've pretty much stopped playing my monk and moved on to other characters since it felt so bad before.

If anyone wants to do some monk runs to work on things/get gear, message me in game.

No Photon, the GG for the staff is different, just like the mats for a Hellfire Ring.

BTW, I got 14 million even from mats. Nice bonus (plus the added space..... yahoo!)
