Man some things never change. That's the challenge of managing a CFL team as it's hard to keep quality young talent.

Hopefully the Stamps keeps adding onto this and gets the team back to being held in high regard in the league.

The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed pending free-agent defensive lineman Charles Wiley. According to 3DownNation reporter John Hodge, it’s a one-year contract extension for the 2026 season.

The six-foot-two, 274-pound defender made 17 defensive tackles, one tackle for loss, and five sacks of 15 regular-season games in 2025. He primarily filled a rotational role, starting only two regular-season games at defensive end.

So an A is an unachievable grade and writer doesn’t want to piss people off so no D’s or less handed out. Got it.

Calgary Stampeders’ general manager and head coach Dave Dickenson has been working to re-sign breakout defensive end Clarence Hicks.

“Definitely in contact with Clarence and his agent, I have a good relationship with Hicks. I think our D-line coach, John Bowman, made him better. I think he fit our system, had success. We’d like to have him back, we hope he sees the value of coming back,” Dickenson said from the CFL’s winter meetings in Calgary.

“We’ve definitely had a lot of conversations with him and his agent, meaning that I think we’re going to continue doing that right up until the window. If he gets to the window, and he does test the market, I guess you see what it is.”
