I plan to check out Skeleton Crew with my 3 year old who's beginning to show an interest in Star Wars. As stated before, I'm all for Star Wars making kid friendly content, and keeping it's audience kids, as opposed to awkwardly cramming in kid friendly content into the main Star Wars content.

I'm actively shielding my kids from all things Star Wars until they are a bit older so we can do The Reveal. I'm thinking age 8 maybe the sweet spot.
Then we can go hog wild and watch every piece of Star Wars media.

My daughter has already found her way to Star Wars on her own. She loves to watch the Jawas and baby Yoda scenes from the Mandalorian.
I'm looking for Star Wars kids content that is actually kids content. As opposed to, for example, the Phantom Menance, which is about half kids content and half in depth political, and very racist, discussion about trade treaties.

Just get her to watch the sequel trilogies where random women from the desert can do anything!
Also...if she watched the prequels...maybe take a breather on any trips to China Town until those memories wear off...
Yikes.

It was not expected but I got a kick out of it.

There's lots of kid content on the Disney Channel.
The old Droids Cartoon from the early 80's. The Freemaker adventures, (But they had some awesome Palpatine Vader comedy). Pretty much any of the Lego Star Wars is pretty kid friendly.
But honestly seeing Palpatine doing an annual performance review on Dark Side spy is must see.

My son and I decided to give these a go, and you know what? They were fun. I am invested. Looking forward to episode 3.

They weren't...bad. They were 3.6 Roentgen.
There is room for improvement. Although by the end of the 2nd episode the 'Mean Girls' schtick got really, really old.

Skeleton Crew is definitely not for 3 year olds. Too many stabbings and prostitutes in the first couple of episodes.
I've continued watching this myself, and it's actually pretty entertaining.

Ehh...I found the prostitutes and pirates pretty 'cartooney.'
3 year old? I couldnt say.
Like I said, its not great, not terrible its 3.6.
But there is potential. Lets see what happens. I didnt fall asleep or switch it off, so its got that going for it...which is nice.

Have you been around girls that age these days? My daughter is 15 and I've been enduring her and her friends being like that since they were 8 or 9. That's just how girls are these days. Might be the most realistic part of the show, LOL.

No, I dont hang around girls that age and if they acted like that? No way. Send them back to wherever the hell they came from.
I wouldnt tolerate that kind of attitude from some little brat. I'd let the pirates have them.
The Galaxy is enormous and full of all kinds of people, what makes these impudent whelps special? Let 'em die and move along.
Theres more where those clowns came from. They are not special.

It's a kids show. Watched it with my 11 year old. Loved it.
Ewok Adventure crossed with Treasure Island crossed with Goonies.
Was just fun.

On the bright side, the series killed off the whiny farm boy who shrugs off the death of his family to go explore his delusions of grandeur. Then followed is mentors examples by hiding in a hut as soon as the going got tough. And no sister kissing

K but can they work on making normal star wars good again before doing these Goonies side quests?
Sure, make it accessible to little kids and adult kids. But right now it's a gateway to a world of s###.
