The kids walked by the TV when the 'breaking news' showed up about the shooting and my son said "they should just give the US a TV channel where all it is, is mass shooting reports."

That's the proper good guy. The guy trained to do what he did.

I work with guys (we're in the Missouri-Kansas-Oklahoma tri-state area) who have said if there is ever a shooter here they are going out to their car to get their gun and coming back in to get the guy. And likely kill many more in friendly fire. Yay guns.

Five dead in Washington state including the gunman.
Apparently the father killed the wife and three kids then turned the gun on himself.

If only they'd had a gun to defend themselves, oh yes that's right they did, it what killed them.

Elsewhere in America, Wayne Lapierre and his gun industry cronies gleefully await the latest uptick in gun sales this weekend. I could have barfed when I saw a TV commercial on a Detroit station from some big box "sportsman" store advertising their annual Second Amendment gun blowout.
