Bill should rest Brady now. Nothing to gain at this point.

Who has the inside track for #2 now - DEN or NE?

That is going to be difficult. They have to go 2-0 and have the Texans go 0-2.

Denver. They will have a better record after tonight.

NE has the tie breaker though should Denver lose one of the last 2 and NE wins last 2.

Denver almost certainly wins its last two games so they should get that second seed.

Still a lot of time left. Next drive is key for the 49ers

IIRC, NE did score 35 points in a quarter this year.

But, not in this weather, against that defence.

Even though it won't, hope tonight it shuts up the pundits about the AFC. Overrated. Texans proved that last week, Baltimore to a point today...the media love affair with the Steelers is over thankfully. Pats will be 1-3 vs NFC West.

This is not a "stunner" or "shocking" as I've heard and seen tonight for anyone who's watched football outside of the eastern time zone. 49ers are a solid team.

Same with the NFC East...as much of the talk about Atlanta being overrated, the overrated Giants and Cowboys, and, almost as overrated Redskins are getting a lot of press for average teams, simply because they are East teams.

Denver looks like the best team in the AFC along with Houston.

Don't read too much into this game. The weather had a big effect.

Except that this type of weather has usually been when the Patriots lay the boots tho their opponent. This one might get interesting here in the 4 th quarter now.

Everyone is so quick to jump on a team as soon as they lose a game- regardless of how well they have been playing over all. I get it, sports is all about "what have you done for me lately"...

But, Pats did handily beaten both Houston and Denver. They lose games that are of far less importance to NFC teams.

I would love to have a rule in the CFL and NFL where as soon as a player starts doing a flag throwing motion that they get a objectional conduct penalty. It's gotten so annoying.
