It's not like he's suddenly shrunk, he's lived with Scheuermann's since childhood.

Lucic is listed as 6'3", McDavid as 6'1".
Aaron Sanchez is 193 cms (6'4") and Lucic is pretty even with him.

It is very difficult to read too much into pictures like this, different angles, different foot wear...

Also, he's an Oiler so who the #### cares?

Sanchez is holding both a Lucic and Eberle jersey.

Unless he can momentarily stretch himself out to full height for the measurement.

Lots of guys with military neck and just slouching issues can look shorter in photos.

Seems weird that his junior team and 3 NHL trams would conspire to give him extra height.

I can handle the Oilers being good this year. I can't handle listening to Drew Remenda. That guy is a hack.

I'm struggling to handle it.

Luckily I have one of the worst decades in professional sports history to look back on fondly during tough times like this.

4 assists for Justin Schultz tonight and he is 5th in defensemen scoring (between Duncan Keith and Shea Weber) and 7th in the NHL in +/-.

Stats wise as least he is looking like a good NHL player. Nice to see what can happen when players get the Oiler stink off of them.

You would think that any sports team that aspires to success of any kind would do their absolute best to distance themselves from comparison to the Edmonton Oilers at pretty much any cost.

Have I ever mentioned how hideous I think Oilers jerseys and colours are? My designer side cringes every time. Good hue of blue, but that shade of orange looks so awful with it.

The logo still looks like a grade 3's construction paper glue project to me as well. It works, it's easily recognizable, but such an eyesore. I might be more indifferent towards the team if it had even an iota of aesthetic appeal. But I get the equivalent of a puking sensation in my brain looking at the unis. A cheap plastic toy-looking palette, like if Hot Wheels had a team jersey. Just makes it all the more difficult to take them seriously on top of the quadrillion other reasons.

I'm quite thankful in retrospect to have been raised into fandom of the one western Canadian team (not counting the Jets) with an appealing colour scheme. Our current primaries are pretty bad with the black piping and C, but the colours, logo, and original jersey are just excellent. The Canucks' branding is almost equally as terrible. Colours makes me think they're supposed to be seaweed.

Something you and most Oiler fans agree on.

I guess I'm going to have to stop cheering for the blue jays. Hanging with a bunch of Oiler clowns.
