I am pretty sure that Weegar’s great grandfather played for the 1906 Ottawa Senators. In any event there is a lot of noise in Ottawa about Weegar, his agent is his uncle whose agency is based in Ottawa.

I’m told Tampa and Dallas are the two most interested with a couple more on the outside looking in for Coleman. He’s said no to expanding his list for two teams.

Kadri is LA, Colorado … more info soon

L. A needs Kadri, badly. They might ante up an overpay. Plus I'd be keen to help a Pacific team drive LV down and out of the playoffs if possible.

Colorado, man if they still had Ritchie... But.. Gulyayev is a decent option. They have 2x 2nds in the 27 draft. And their 27 1st.

Not sure what else the Avs have that appeals to CGY .

Doesn't matter which team gets Coleman, I'm sure it'll be okay. They both seem like teams that know his value.

The concern I have from all these teams is the assets they're willing to move (pick wise), seems like it wouldn't be a fit for our team. Dallas seems to not want to move their better prospects, Colorado is low on prospects, LA is partially rebuilding so may not want to deal theirs. It just seems like a real stretch for both the Flames and these teams to make something work.

You can only play the cards you’re dealt.

Kopitars last year, they just traded and signed Panarin.

I see it as a mini all in year. Plus the money off the books from Kopitar next year.

Looks like Lomberg is scratched tonight based on line rushes and warm up.

With the salary space opened up with Fiala's injury, and with Kopitar retiring this season, Kadri makes so much sense for LA.

He replaces Kopitar at center for the next couple years and it's a salary wash.

He can help replace what they are missing with Fiala this year.

2026 1st, Ziemmer, and something else seems like it would work

Hoping for something like this from any of these potential trades:

A) Coleman to Dallas for Hemming + 2nd
B) Coleman to Tampa for O’Reilly
C) Kadri (30% retained) to LA for 2026 1st + 2nd
D) Kadri (30% retained to Colorado for 2027 1st + 2nd + Gulyayev

I've heard Dallas is very much still in the mix for Coleman.
Islanders have also inquired on both forwards.

So basically only a 1st because Turcotte has almost no value. That would be a bad trade.

Can't say I follow Islanders closely. Why hasn't Pageau been re-signed, has his play devolved a lot? If he's still serviceable that would give them a lot of depth at C.
