Re: Sean Payton, I read that the only two jobs he's currently interested in are the Chargers and Cowboys. He loves L.A. and dearly wants to coach Herbert. Also interested in Dallas given his history with Jerry.

Chargers are going to win 5 straight to get into the playoffs with an 11-6 record. So they won't fire Staley this year (much to SCD's chagrin).

If the Cowboys don't win a playoff game than it's conceivable that they would replace McCarthy.

Denver is interested in Payton, but he's smart enough to avoid that job.

Guys on the couch could block better than Davis and Petit-Frere.

Cowboys fans have to be a little worried about all of the interceptions Prescott is throwing. That's the kind of stuff that will kill you in the playoffs.

If Dallas wants the Titans to hang around, I’ll take it. Byard will try to do it on his own if he can. Let’s see if we can somehow gut this out.

We checked out Sofi Stadium yesterday and what an amazing facility from outside to inside. It is a beautiful design and it is much more open air than I expected. One thing I didn't realize when seeing the stadium on tv is that it is really sunken in and has a very low elevation. I thought it would look much taller but it is only the upper section or two that sit above ground level. The video ring is obviously amazing but I was really blown away by the whole facility setup.

Patriots screwed early. Forward progress stopped? Mostart ran into the pile and lost the ball. Bellichick pissed already.

Sam Darnold looks like a pretty serviceable QB right now. Definitely not someone that is making Monday morning headlines but he isn't making many mistakes and is putting the team in winning positions.

Darnold did the same to start last year before falling apart. The thing about Darnold, and QBs like him, is if you can keep these guys playing from ahead and not ask them to do much, you can win games with them. As much fun as Brock Purdy's run has been, he's had exactly one drive during his run where the 49ers weren't ahead, and only attempted four passes when behind since becoming starter. A lot of guys can look like serviceable QBs when they never have to make anything happen from a trailing position.

I sort of hope that by beating the Texans today the Jaguars can play for the tie against the Titans next week to win the Division.

Wentz predictably having a debacle, probably should put Heinicke back in.

Mahomes is such an enigma. As great and entertaining as he is, a dumb play is always in the cards too.

Chiefs special teams will probably be what ends their season, just a disaster this year.

Deshawn Watson has 9 yards net passing at halftime.

That trade has to be worth it....right?

Edit: And not to be outdone, Justin Fields has 7.

Honestly Eagles are lucky they're only down 13-0 at halftime. Saints leaving points all over the field, wouldn't be surprised if it costs them in the end. But then again they're playing Uncle Rico and without their LT, so...

More ammo for the Hurts is MVP campaign. Philly can’t even hang with an awful Saints team without him
