I guess it is just my lack of knowledge for this sport shining through, but it feels like the storyline going into this week is very similar to last week on how the Saints will win. I guess the only difference is it won't be in a hostile environment so I suppose that does make a huge difference.

Hell even I picked Seattle to win, just was forseeing more of a 24-19 type mucky game, not the murderfest it turned into.
And agreed about Carolina, I'm confident N.O. should at least split, which should be enough to wrap up the bye. Both will be barnburners though, Saints-Panthers games are usually classics it seems.

29 of 32 teams still have a chance of making the playoffs, including the 2-10 Houston Texans.

Kubiak is the worst.
5 minutes left and all your timeouts and you go for in on 4th? against Jacksonville? with 4 stoppages against?
awful decision

He had to call one of his timeouts in order to decide to go for it.

Good news is I called this in the ESPN play-off machine! I am sort of starting to understand a sport I was totally foreign to two years ago! Yay!
Edit: Yes, I know, none of you care. But dammit I feel smart.

Really good set or articles from Peter King this week. He was allowed to follow an officiating crew for a week and see how that side of the process works.

Gives some perspective. I still don't think the Brooks hit on Brees was roughing the passer a few weeks ago. But I have the benefit of multiple slo motion views to know that. The referee has one shot to see it, saw the head snap back, and made the roughing call.
To use the phrasing from the articles, I don't agree with the call but I support it.
