I would recommend getting to the stadium early. It is going to take a long while to get in between the volume of people and the extra paper work.

Is Commonwealth walking distance from downtown if I happen to be boozing that afternoon? I haven't been there since the U2 concert, and don't remember how I got there.

The lrt runs right up to the stadium. there are tons of terminals downtown. The LRT is going to be very busy coming and going, so an Uber or a taxi might be a better bet.
Walking would be too far from downtown. Unless you were some kind of walking enthusiast.

Just had two people cancel on me. If anyone wants to sit in the Voyager's Section let me know. Section O, row 16. Cost is $22 per ticket. If mods want me to put this in buy/sell I can but I'd rather keep it within the soccer group.

During the women's world cup they had direct busses going to and from malls all over Edmonton
that's what we did, probably a similar setup

For transit to the game, LRT is a good bet, otherwise there are busses that go to and from the games as well from specific lots:

Thank you for posting that because I had no idea that was even a possibility. Never been to Commonwealth before (I generally try to avoid Edmonton as much as possible) and the idea there would be no parking never even crossed my mind.
Apparently there is paid parking ($16) at the Edmonton Expo centre, but it still looks to be a fair distance away.

Yea I didn't believe the person that told me that. Had to research it myself haha.
We'll be taking an Uber or cab to the game.

To be fair, I’m in the states for vacation and always planned on being back. I could work remotely if needed but getting stuck here and missing the game would suck

I was in dumpsville not long ago to go to commonwealth.
We parked across the street from the old hockey arena for free, but there’s also a pay lot there. I think it’s a convention centre or something?
Then it’s a one stop trip to the game via LRT. Didn’t even have to pay for transit, was included in the ticket. That might just be for cfl though.
Be forewarned though, that train stop smells like urine, even more than the rest of the city does.

Costa Rica will not have Navas for the game on Friday
https://en.as.com/en/2021/11/08/socc...56_595902.html
Quote:
We received an injury report from Paris Saint-Germain and the medical staff confirmed that Keylor Navas suffered an injury to his right elbow and it started to get swollen after the game on Saturday. After a medical examination it was determined that Navas will not be able to play with Costa Rica next week
|
I think he actually hurt it in the US game and aggravated it in Paris.

To say I am excited for this game is an understatement. It feels like the sporting event of the year for me.

I've started drinking every evening this week to get my tolerance up for game time.
