I agree, it was nice to see that the ref didn't blow down the play when a player falls down. There was more flow in this game than any i've seen thus far.

Mmm - good point. Any time you don't notice the ref he's done a good job.

I'm really looking forward to the game tomorrow. Don't really care for either Germany or England, but anytime these two countries face off, it rarely disappoints. Should be a heck of a match!

Yeah, him and the Uzbek ref that did the SA-MEX game and the England-Algeria game have been great so far.

Why did FIFA get rid of sudden death overtime? It seems in a sport where few goals are scored you wouldn't want the oppurtunity for more ties. This seems to increase the probability of the match going the penalty kicks which really is just a craps shoot.

Teams were too scared to go forward and would defend to get to penalty kicks scared to give up a winning goal thus making extra time a waste of time.

That's awful defense, and the goalie didn't need to come out.

They showed the offside graphic once quickly...was the long-ball German goal offside? I just caught the end of it.
Not that it matters.

England are melting down, Terry and James have been abysmal. Ex gunner Upson makes it a game.

That was obviously in! Horrible horrible call. The official should lose his job over that. That was brutal.
