Man, if the Flames could trade into the top 10 (and somehow retain their other two firsts lol), O'Brien, Reid, Ihs Wozniak would be like the perfect first round. A RHC, LD, and RHW. All three organizational needs in one go.
Totally realistic.

Cullen Potter seems to be all over the place. I've seen him as high as mid-teens. Button's got him at 50.
Small, fast, elusive, and electric seem to be his main attributes.
If he's there at 31 I'd hope the Flames would take him. If he's there at 18 and Reschny isn't, I think you take him there as well.

I wonder if being a weaker draft in most opinions, teams might take a swing at a goalie earlier than normal. If the forwards are projecting at 4th line depth players, why not?

Aside:
Upside's Final Rankings are being edited and posted soon.

did a aimilar thing to Bingo for our CPHL draft (only 10 rankings though, so not as extensive as Bingo's work) and was surprised how high McQueen was on a lot of those lists. Really curious where he ends up in the draft, could be anywhere from 7 to the later teens, it feels like.

The picks would be realistic. Calgary trading into the top 10 and retaining their existing picks is likely pie in the sky.
I would expect at least 2 centres with those 3 picks though.

18, would’ve been 16 too if we didn’t deal Monahan.

I'm might have missed it (either in this thread or in the 2024 one) but did you ever compare the consensus you had last year to the actual position picked, Bingo? I did do a quick search but could only see a flames specific comparison, not first round for all.
I'm just trying to find some hope that someone will drop and we'll all be impressed with who we got at 18.

If one of the preferred 3rd tier Cs don't get the Flames (like Reshny or Cootes), Philly may be a great trade partner. They have the Oilers 1st and 4 2nds (al so the 22nd). Would Philly give us the 31st OV + 40th + 47th for the 18th + 5th Rounder if they really liked someone.
I wouldn't mind spraying our shots and taking a combo of Horcoff, Moore, Ryabkin, Stockselius, etc.
We would have the 31st +32nd +40th + 47th + 54th. Might be the draft to spray instead of target?

My favorite diminuitive QMJHLer seems to be rising on the rankings lately. Thought it’d be a certainty he’d be around in the 3rd but that might not be the case.
