Ahhh, not much of a football fan I see. Some fun facts for you:
- JJ Watt signed in Arizona last year, so Goff wasn't the Rams QB
- Josh Allen played two perfect games last post-season and was undone by bad coaching. If the Packers had Josh Allen last year instead of the "MVP" (who gagged in the playoffs), they might have won something.
- The Packers lost because of special teams and an offense that put up 10 points, including only 3 in the final 54 minutes of the game, by that great MVP QB. Watt ain't helping anything with that
- Of course, Watt finished the season on IR and wouldn't have even played in the playoffs, dubbing his potential impact even more irrelevant
Fun bonus fact!
- Jared Goff has played in as many Super Bowls as Aaron Rodgers.

What a fantastically silly hypothetical argument. I love it. Can someone please go back and fill in possible coaching hires, FA signings, and other variables to chart out JJ’s path if he goes to the Green Bay Packers? Did Green Bay have the money to even sign him when he was a FA? I don’t know but if I’m gonna get all djsflames about it I need to know a lot more information to really rile myself up

Senator, I was thinking 2020 for some reason.
Fact still remains Rodgers was the reigning MVP and the Packers had a winning team just needed some more pieces on defence.
Yes Rodgers was terrible vs the Niners and it was special team debacle, but adding a guy like Watt changes things on defence.
I was just making the point he picked to go to the Cardinals when someone said a hall of fame talent was wasted on two garbage franchises. The Texans yes, the Cardinals yes to some degree he took the money and a team with a terrible HC and QB.

I was just making the comment he would have had better options if he took less money to go to a contender. Just responded to his talent being wasted on a crappy franchise, one of was his choice and doing the other he was drafted too not much he can do about that.

Well the Cards made the playoffs for the first time in 6 years with Watt last year so in theory they were trending up.
Kyler turns into a pumpkin and argues with the coach not coincidentally after signing his mega deal, put this season to rest for the team. Watt was retiring likely no matter what.
That said, he's the model player for getting air dropped onto a contending team in November or December next year. New born baby will be older, he will stay in shape, etc etc.

Picking a winner in the NFL not so easy, and the Cardinals were as good as bet as any at the time. He did get several playoff games with the Texans at least as their division was consistently weak. Injuries took their toll on Watt, as a few times he was not available to play in those games.
Seems like a good guy and he loved the camera.

Watt really had his career derailed by injury. So given how many serious ones he had he should have taken the money. As Browna mentions...come back 1/3rd of next year he can easily pick a winner and come in if he likes than when it's s bit clearer as to who those teams are.

Oof.
The Cardinals were fine last season. This season further proves that garbage coaching can only be masked for so long. It’s not on Watt. He made a good choice picking AZ when they were up and coming. Not AZ’s fault he was riddled with injuries the first year. Unfortunately, it would’ve been better to have him excel like he did this year in the previous season. But, that’s just not how the cards were dealt.

let's also not forget that the Cards were 7-0 last season when Watt went down with a season-ending injury. Sure, it was a bit of a mirage and it's always easy to talk about these things in hindsight, but nevertheless they were a good team on the upswing when Watt opted to sign for them.

Derek Carr has been benched, surely a prelude to the end of his time with the Raiders.

Time to play the where-does-Carr-go game
I’ll go first: Jets, just because it’s the Jets

i really thought Carr was going to have a decent year with the addition of Adams. I still think he could be a decent QB in the right situation.

I would say whoever misses out on the QB carousel, but Carr will probably be first available. Could see the Patriots who have a defense ready to compete now, just need above average QB play, which is what Carr is.

Seahawks as well, unless they are believers in Geno Smith. He's had a good season but he's still Geno Smith and the Seahawks are going to have incredible draft picks this year.

Commies will be all over this too. Think the Jets will rather go for Garoppolo.

Figures to be quite a few teams in the QB carousel:
- Patriots
- Jets
- Colts
- Raiders
- Giants
- Washington
- The entire NFC South (lol)
Plus possibly the Lions, Ravens, Dolphins, Titans. Should be interesting.

Commanders, Colts, Jets, Patriots plus the Raiders will be in the QB market.
Should SanFran win with Purdy.I wonder if they would make Lance or him available.
Seattle has lots of draft capital so they can keep Geno and draft a QB to develop under him.

Negative
Carr will lead a non raiders team to the playoffs next season
Put him on the jets, saints, panthers, titans, or commies
I think jets will end up being the team

It's a contract thing, if he got injured in final 2 games, next 2 years of his contract guarantee
So this leaves options now, raiders beat guys already saying they will talk offseason trade with him quickly after season and find a scenario he wants
