That's the most important thing any team should consider when drafting high, especially at the QB position.
Ryan Leaf will be the first to tell you that he blew it. He wasn't incapable, his immaturity destroyed him.

But was this known on draft day? Were there signs at Wazoo?
It's so hard to tell.
In the Pac-10 how would Ryan Leaf and Joey Harrington be compared.
Both won the Rose Bowl and both flopped in the NFL.

I think there's a lot more focus now on teams doing their due dilligence in investigating character than there was then. He may be part of the reason why. Still, there's no doubt that some scouting staffs fall in love with a skill set and get blinded to other stuff.
I would't want to compare the situations of Harrington and Leaf because I don't know enough about Harrington. I think he got thrown into a horrible situation nd was set up to fail, and if I remember correctly, he did suffer a lot of injuries in those first couple of seasons in Detroit.

I am the girl and I allow football watching
What else is there to do? Why isn't there a night game? Families will be gathering and have the football game on.

Ya, not a problem any other time- just today
don't get me wrong, Im still watching. Just might not be a double header- and Pats game will always come first- although the match ups at 2pm are much more intriguing today imo

There were many signs at Wazzu, there were signs in high school. I saw a few of the high school issues personally, and heard many of the Wazzu issues from people in his hometown, as well as classmates. Some of those things had to be relayed to scouts, if not personally witnessed.
His immense talent caused quite a few people to "overlook" his personality issues. He was the epitome of A-hole jock, big man on campus, etc.
It seems like he's finally getting his life straightened out, and I applaud him for that.

Patsies can't do anything, 4 possessions, 4 punts, down 10-0

Make it 17-0 Fins. Really like what Matt Moore has brought to the offense, he is not a long term solution but he is a capable QB.

Well, with Houston's loss, the Pat's only need to win 1 of the next 2 to secure the bye. Their offensive line is beat up today and the defense is business (crap) as usual... As much as I hate it, the Pats are just not a team that can do much damage in the playoffs

Victor Cruz with a 99 yard TD the longest in Giants history, as I have 99 kids got burnt on a missed tackle which should have been about 10-11 yard gain.

I am enjoying the dolphins wins, but seriously the 0-7 start is more and more frustrating each week. I was o.k. with 0-7 if we continued to suck but all of a sudden we are decent. If I go way back I always said we were an average team and we are playing like it now if not better.
