I liked Bob's Burgers, but mostly because I like anything Jon Benjamin does. I can't wait for Archer to return.

Its too bad that the Sunday night animation time slots that I used to really like have become so week.
Simpsons and Family guy just aren't good anymore
Cleveland has been terrible since day one and Bob was terrible.
Bring back American Dad.

Cape = total cheese. One liners all over the place. Had high hopes for this one but execution was terrible.
Explosions and special effects were good though.

I actually really enjoyed Bob's. I thought the writing was really creative and funny as well. I was quite surprised actually.

I thought Bobs Burgers was kind of lame. Nothing made me laugh at all, unlike Family Guy where I got a few laughs like usual.
Also props to last nights Simpsons with some housewives women on women action.

I am still waiting for news on the latest season of Burn Notice. The re-runs of it on Showcase just aren't doing it for me.

NBC in 2011 simply cannot afford to do that. They've got 13 episodes to make an impression and if it flunks, they're done... so they gotta go balls to the wall in the pilot. We'll never see another Lost, i.e., a slow developing serial drama with longevity, on a broadcast network. Look what happened to FlashForward last year, and The Event is going down the same road this year.

That's bull crap. The TV landscape was no different in 2004 when lost came on the air then it is now. Lost was success because despite being slow moving it's initial episodes got you hooked. If shows like The Cape and The Event had good story telling, good acting, they would last, but... they don't. I watched the pilot of The Event and it was total garbage. Caught about 30 minutes of The Cape and it was embaressingly bad.
I'm not disagresing with your overal point, that Networks and viewers in general have short attention spans... but to suggest a show like Lost can't exist now is not true.

Are you kidding me? In 2004 broadcast dramas were still thriving.
CSI was well over 26+ million viewers. Desperate Housewives was in the 23+ million viewer range if I remember correctly. Without a Trace, Everybody Loves Raymond, Grey's Anatomy... all huge. Hello internet, hello video games, hello DVR's and before you know it those days are history.
At the time, Lost was the most expensive pilot episode ever shot... to think we'll ever see this again (from NBC... lol) is a gross misunderstanding of TV ratings and their current state, and the fact that they are a direct reflection of a show's fate and the direction networks go as far as pickups.
On cable? Yeah... Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire... very expensive, serial shows. Broadcast is a whole different game.
