Vunterslash!

the crack baby episode was gold, from the spot on EA rip to Macdonalds fries in KFC gravy. they seemed to have amped up the ridiculous factor this season though, which is saying something when you're talking about South Park. i can see the season continuing the hit and miss factor if the rest of the episodes are just as "WTF?"

I don't think South Park can do anything but ramp up the ridiculous factor, they've done sooo much already. What else could they do? Like their one episode, Simpsons did it!

Well the good thing is south park does recent events a lot, so they have an endless supply of ideas to draw from.

While not one of their best, I thought this weeks episode was pretty solid.

Butters centric and lots of asian stereotypes.

I thought it was good too. Laughed my ass off at the Japanese Chinese language barrier. And the funny twist was good too. Poor Butters, lol.

Just watched it. Looked like to me that Matt and Trey where addressing some of the cynicism directed at the show especially critics saying that they lost interest in the show.

There was even foreshadowing that the TV series may be over:
Spoiler!

Especially with the episode title being "You are getting old", you gotta wonder.

Now that you say that....

It very well could be over... The divorce, the friendship... ya, it kinda makes sense. Although, if it is... Trey and Matt will have a new show coming out. Hell they have one of the best Broadway shows in New York on the go.

I guess we will have to wait and see...

Source? I don't doubt that Trey is the driving force behind the show but please define "limited involvement" and how you know this.

Also in the credits Matt Stone is only credited as a Creator and Executive Producer. He doesnt Direct or Write the show.

Well that doesn't mean that Matt isn't involed. It just means he isn't the primary writer or director.

Look at any show from Family Guy to Seinfeld. They only credit one or two writers per episode but they have huge writing teams. Just because only one is credited doesn't mean that no one else is involved.

Filthy. Sweet. The two words rarely refer to the same thing. But time and again, critics emerging from The Book of Mormon–the brainchild of South Park’s Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Avenue Q’s Robert Lopez–used them to describe the musical, which was nominated in 14 categories for Sunday’s Tony Awards. Ben Brantley, the New York Times’ infamously tough theater reviewer, called the production “heaven on Broadway," writing, "It is blasphemous, scurrilous, and more foul-mouthed than David Mamet on a blue streak … but has a heart as pure as that of a Rodgers and Hammerstein show.”

Pretty damn amazing!

sold out until October 30th.

Ill add:

Regarding Best Musical at the tony awards...

The Book of Mormon is the clear winner. The Scottsboro Boys could've been, had not Mormon landed big with voters.
I heard it is one of the best ever reviewed Broadway shows in history.

They worked with the Avenue Q guy? I saw Avenue Q when I was in London and it was freaking hilarious.

I don't doubt that "The Book of Mormon" is good, I wish I could see it.

Hopefully they'll release a DVD of the show at some point. I'd love to see it as well.
