Anyone find it annoying that if you stack up your players ala the trap at your blue line, the oppositiion will literally skate in the neutral zone for 5+ minutes. Also on hardcore you cant pass on the fly, every player seems to feel the need to stop skating to take the pass, even if it is right at them. Plus, the hardcore passing is really inconsistent. Almost to the point of annoyance. You hold the pass button longer for a hard pass, but after holding it for more than 2 seconds (incase your teammate has moved positions) it just throws the pass away.

May take some more getting used to, but scoring a goal in hardcore is EXTREMELY difficult, almost to the point that you just have to fire it at the net and hope the goalie messes up.

PS. also really lame, Jokinen, Langkow, Sarich have less of tradability than Backlund, Ryder, Ryley Armstrong, John Armstrong, Pelech? ORLY!?

I put the setting on hardcore and tried to run a 5 vs 0 powerplay and scored once on 25 attempts, on a missed pass no less.

Apparently I'm not as hardcore as I thought I was.

Somewhere under user gameplay options.

There was a loading screen that had a tutorial of it, after that I went and moved it. Think I'll move it back though.

* Somebody at EA needs to seriously prune the roster file to clear out guys who haven't even been in skates for years. This year's game still has guys like Jason Allison and Theo Fleury kicking around.


Where can I find Fleury, I cant seem to locate him in the game?

umm, so... anyone notice how in OT when you get penalties it goes:

4 vs 3

if the team with 3 gets a penalty...

it goes to

5 v 3.... i'm pretty sure thats not how it works

But anyways, any speed over 1 and player accel over 2 is way too fast and unrealistic.

And this game is only to be played on superstar in hardcore mode. I havent even played a full game yet, still messing around with the settings.

this game is to be played however anyone who forks down the money to buy wants to play.

Proof of this is the options that you are wasting your time playing around with.

I say this, still not quite believing you are an actual person.

pretty disappointed with the initial impressions. fighting is ridiculously hard and not fun at all, the game plays way too slow and the board play doesn't seem to work very well. i also don't like how i can't change any details like height or weight on my BAP, seems like a downgrade from last year

Ummm you can change the height/weight of a guy...my guy is 6'3, 220lbs....not sure how you can't make changes

when i created my guy after first starting the game, it only let me put in the name, position, handedness, and play style. when starting my BAP it only let me edit position and playstyle. i was stuck playing the prospects game at 6'0 and 190lbs, couldn't find anywhere to change it

Go to the hockey shop before you start your be a pro and you can change all the same stuff as last year (height, weight, birthday) and all his equiptment.

On the main menu, goto My Pro...that has the hockey shop, along with all the other BAP things

So today, I played one period of EASHL before being booted.

Some how, my character's named had been changed, and I kept getting kicked off EA's servers.

All in all, so far this game has been a very frustrating experience for me.
