IMO he is. I think world wide appeal and record sales show it. When you are 400 Million in debt (which is so ######ed), you must be big if you can pay it off within 2-3 months of dying.
There's no doubt that he had talent. Yet, even though it's somehow a little hypocritical to single out Jackson for his faults and not compare him to other celebrities (I see the point you were trying to make with Cash), Jackson was involved in some pretty shady activity; such as near embezzlement, tax fraud, huge drug addiction and possibly child molestation. He was America's freak show for so long and judging from what I've heard in the media, he probably realized it himself shortly before he died. It would be no surprise if his death turned out to be suicide.

Reggie is amusing, good luck getting any support there. You've obviously got some sort of love on for Jacko this morning and feel the need to share it with the world. Sorry that a lot of people think he was a pedo, you'll just have to live with that. And this picture is funny...

Enjoy!

If it was suicide, I wouldn't be shocked either. I read he wasn't even ready for how big he got.

That still isn't what I posted about. My posts dealt with pure musical legacy.

Oh come on... these kids are going to be the centre of a public custody battle that will most likely ruin their lives forever. There's no altruism with the Jackson clan. What a bunch of greedy, malicious money-grubbers; the lot of 'em.

And the crazy train pulls into the station.

this kinda stuff always bugs the crap out of me, especially with the modern day drug culture, where its always someone elses fault that the person became a junkie.

As far as being a pop star goes, Michael Jackson is the biggest there ever was, I agree.

Wasn't LaToya the sibling that called her own brother a pedophile just to gain 15 minutes on Larry King?

Agreed, for anyone thats interested in the effect of money on clebrity family law this is going to be the tug of war of the century as people try to get a hold of those poor kids because they come with a large trust fund.

Its also going to be interesting to watch the creditors trying to get their piece of the action.

And the IRS... Jackson apparently never paid estate taxes...

Wow, I know way too much of this stuff for someone who tries so damn hard to be a culture snob.

Yes she did during the trial, she later retracted the statement.

At least she was hot naked.

I havent' agreed with much said in this thread, but there can be no statement that is more true than this.

The family will milk Michael's death for all it's worth. Sad really.

But really, did this thread need to get a bump?

I thought Jermaine Jackson's comments were telling too. When asked he ever thought Michael might have been guilty, he seemed hesitant to say "no" and went on about how Michael was a gift sent from Allah.

I think the family will too.

I know "Jacko" gave charities half a billion dollars.

Maybe it needed to get a bump, who knows.

I've never got this whole argument about celebrity charity equating to good personal virtue. Anyone can write a check, doesn't mean that you are a good person.

Yeah, I did read about that.

I hope it goes ahead. Hilarious to think they've actually got any talent.

I never get it either. All these rich people, like Iggy, Smyth, or any star, get at least 80% of their money back.

They only donate to keep more income, but at least they do. I bet 95% of these people would never donate if they didn't get a lot back.
