The other interesting question is why did Jays Manager not select Rios as the Pitch Hitter when one was needed in the bottom of the 8th. Instead John Macdonald was used.

Makes a fan wonder if JP has a trade in the works.

Wish the Jays bats would give this kid a little help...

Pretty much identical so far to some of Janssen's starts last year, with fewer pitches.

Groundballs a plenty, not a lot of Ks.

Can't complain with that.

This is more than likely going to be Litsch's only start and he's giving the Jays exactly what they need. He's pitching in Halladay's spot and is pitching just as good as Halladay would tonight.

Thus far: 4 hits, 1 run (earned, but you could easily score Hill with an error in the first) and only 78 pitches in 7 innings. Would be nice to see a CG win by the kid tonight.

Well, with a performance like that, I think that we could see him again...

That was painful to watch him get pulled at 8.2 IP. Wanted to see the CG for him, but I can understand why it was done.

That was an awesome debut. I hope that he gets rewarded with at least another start. What an awesome day for him and his Dad!

His Dad is a regular poster on BlueJayWay too, I'm sure his inbox is filled with tons of messages now.

I would have yanked the kid after 5 or 6. No use hurting his arm.

Ba-zing.

At least it looks like Gibbons has learned, somewhat, from the other night.

Ridiculously stupid post.

Litsch was a starter in the minors. Marcum is a reliever.

Anyone with a clue or who doesn't have a grudge against Gibbons would know the difference.

Wow, what a huge performance when we really need a boost. Apparently thats the longest debut pitching performance in Jays history.

Awesome game for Burnett tonight as well. The hitters still need to step it up, but a sweep (yeah, I know it's just the O's) has got to boost their confidence at least a little.

I can't wait for Reed Johnson to come back, he's the catalyst for the offense.

Litsch is getting another start, Sunday vs. the Phillies.

I caught that on the score but didn't really understand. Burnett, Chacin, Marcum, Litsche.....and who else. McGowan? Or is Halladay ready to go again?
