I think you are right, but Jones wouldn't be the leader in Sacks even if all his were counted. Reggie White would have passed his total in '97, and Bruce Smith has since passed them both.

And it was so much easier to get a sack back then, no grounding allowed, you could even use the old ear hole slap as a move to get around the tackle.
